Haggard’s voice, songwriting and life experiences are things that could never be touched by any other artist. He really was one of the greatest of the greats.

I got to meet Merle Haggard and got his autograph when he first came out! Love him and always will. My Dad got me to loving Merle, he liked him when he first heard him, must say Dad has good taste in music. Watching a special about Merle now!

We saw him in Branson he gave a great over 2 hrs then he left the stage. People started getting up to leave. Lo and behold he came back and sang for about 30 minutes. Then he signed autographs. That was one of the best shows I've ever seen❤

I loved Merle Haggard so much. I always regretted that I never got to see him in concert. He never made it to the East Coast / NC areas, he seemed to stay our west. There will NEVER be another Merle. Loved his music, loved the man.

I saw him twice in concert and met him back stage both times . I was shocked he remembered me the 2nd time from the 1st time. I was shocked and asked him how he could remember me after a year and a half, he said " you had and have the most beautiful long hair he ever saw" he made me blush. He asked my husband if he could give me a hug and kiss and he did, gentle hug and kiss on the cheek. A memory I'll carry with me forever. That was back in 1972❤

So nice to see Mo Pitney there. He's a great fan, student and perpetuator of Merle's music. An amazingly talented musician on his own.
