Remember that when you do stuff outside your comfort zone and you do take those steps towards recovery, you will feel symptoms. There's not a single person. I know, including myself who didn't have symptoms during their recovery.
Your success and your recovery are determined by how well you respond to symptoms. So just know that symptoms are not the worst thing ever and don’t mean your recovery is failing or not working.

I never feel like I've slept! I can't process and i beg people not to talk to me. But they do anyways and wonder why i start yelling and cursing i get so confused and the rest of my day o just can't even attempt to make my brain work. I also have ADHD. I take meds but nothing helps right now. Its a horrible feeling

I feel sick all day and only start to feel normal late afternoon, early evening, or often late evening. Except for the once in a blue moon. And on a down day or a recovery day, I don't feel normal at all the entire day. Also forcing myself up in the morning for school for the little one wrecks my entire day. Forcing myself to operate through the toughest time of the day often means I'm not doing anything else significant that day. I've used all my energy to force this very unnatural pushing. So it greatly impedes what would be normal functioning for someone without what I've got. And I literally don't know another human being who has this problem. Even others with fibro or chronic fatigue, which runs in my family, don't have these issues. It makes me think I have something else on top of these 2.

Yes, mornings are tougher. I also noticed many years ago, before CFS, that I could do evening workouts much easier than morning workouts.

omg, great job....why is my neurologist not talking to me about this? I wish most doctors will explain themselves like this.... so informative 👏 now I know why I'm never refreshed... 7 months post TBI, and I'm never refreshed in the morning....

Sometimes, the healthcare system is not really able to diagnose from some specific symptoms we face with CFS, and more so if it isn't from personal experience, but only based on just science and medical facts. They 100% do their best from what they know. Glad you found this helpful!

Docs only know medication. I would not go to a doc for this, only to make sure there isn’t something wrong that needs to be dealt with. Otherwise they are useless or worse.

As you get through recovery, the functionality of the nervous system gets better and gets a better and more normal kickstart!

Is there anything we can do to help this along? I usually feel better in the afternoon/evenings. It takes me a fair chunk to just feel normal again

It probably had to do with a very slow regression of the nervous system. What is your exact situation now?

Yes, long Covid and CFS have lots of similarities - it takes a bit of time for your nervous system to get ready for the day! But it does get better as the day progresses right?

@@cfsrecovery To be honest, I have had the same type of symptom for almost 17/18 months. My body is so heavy like a tombstone and weighed down all the time. Even when I am sitting on a chair or lying in bed, it feels like I am sinking into the chair or into the mattress (when I am sleeping). If I am walking, there's this constant weight pushing down on the lower part of my body, like gravity is pulling so hard. Is this normal and will this symptom go away? Not to mention the brain fog and the stabbing pain in my muscles and sometimes in the brain too. The tingling in the brain and the hot flashes are also bad.
