CGC Reholder... Did It Keep the Grade?

I'd like to know more on how you've gone about asking for notes added to the label. You've had some intermittent success in doing so. Are you typing that somewhere in the submission form, or just slapping a post-it note on the book? Have you ever gotten any feedback from CGC on a requested note they did not add?

Love your channel, and I appreciate all the tips you give for us fellow hunters. Went antiquing a while back and found the first issue of Vigilante (for only a dollar!). Are you going to do a video about the Wal-Mart Marvel and DC bundles? I was lucky enough to find a copy of the elusive RWBY #7. And do you think these bundles are worth it, or is it just a big come-on to sell off the Big Two’s back stock?

Getting CGC to update the notes on a label is an uphill battle for sure.

James, when you do your epic GL video, please take your time showcasing it and don’t feel you have to rush. Sure, I’ve got variations of ADD like a lot of us, but I still prefer your more leisurely paced videos. I love seeing a collection adorned with backstories, anecdotes, reviews, etc. GL is one of my favorites of all time, so go ahead and wallow in it! 🐢

How does CGC handle COA's with variants? Do they add a diff label? add to the back during encapsulation?

It won't come back with a different label unless it has a unverified signature on it. In terms of the COA, I have seen them included on the back

What stand are you using for the slabs?

I have a cgc witnessed signed Stan Lee Star Lord #1 that has a slight scratch/crack on the corner top right of the case would I be able to re-hold and get a new case with the witness signature verification label back on the new case book was graded in 2015 or once I send them the slab they will take it out and put it as name written on book regardless of the slab never being cracked open with the witness sig label already on the previous slab with the scratch on it? Thanks.

I think re-holdering doesn't include re-grading. At least with CBCS it doesn't.

I've seen 2 9.8 slabs in my life an 1 9.6. And I was not impressed. I think I way over estimated what a 9.8 or 9.6 is. The 9.8's were OK the 9.6 had color rub all across the barcode.

For how busy and behind CGC is these days, do you really think they spend any time re-grading books that just want a new slab? (no sas here, honest question) Why spend time grading when they can swap holders in minutes and make quick money? There is no benefit to them to re-grade, and they are a business, in business to make as much money as they can. Have you heard of any reholders getting lower grades in the last year or so?
