I've been engaged in this hobby for more than half a century now and I can tell you without hesitation that THE number one, never-fail, always-in-demand books that NEVER go out of style are Silver Age Amazing Spider-Man. The tried & true back issue champion, and the DC equivalent is Neal Adams Detective Comics and Batman. SERIOUSLY......these books are the surest things in this hobby. This is not my opinion.....it's simply The Way It Is.

Those books are wonderful. Early Spider-Man books are so sought after. Since you didn't fully mention it Gary, ASM #19 is the 1st cameo appearance of Mac Gargan who ultimately becomes the Scorpion. I remember buying ASM #20 in the Bronx, NY around 1984 at a little comic shop on Fordham Road for the whopping price of $20 bucks! Around the same time I bought ASM #16 at a tiny comicon way before cosplay was even a thing, somewhere in Long Island (I don't actually remember the town) for $35 bucks. I knew both were a steal at the price and they remain a joy to behold to this day. Thanks for posting. Best to all.

@@VeryGaryComics I recently polled some friends on it and consensus was not to get them cause even if SOME look ok, the pool of people that like them over simple blue label is smaller and therefore might be a bit tougher to sell a book. Was interesting!

Just got into your channel recently after my father in law passed away and we randomly found Silver Surfer comics in his office (1, 3, 4) along with some random 90s disney comics haha. Wasn't sure what to do with them but after watching your channel I decided to send them to CGC. Did pretty well on the grades. Thanks for all the entertaining content!
