@anni3ham8 жыл бұрын
My take on this was that in the beginning she was so worried about looking perfect, with her lipstick, outfit, hair and all. Her mirror self which is maybe her sub conscious seemed bored and kind of angry, maybe with the person she has become. Her outer and inner self fight, and at the end it's her inner self that wins, when her date comes in her hair and dress are ruined, she no longer sees her reflection maybe indicating she has embraced her true self that isn't any longer so obsessed with the exterior beauty :) my take on things. Oh and one more thing I noticed is that when her date comes in, the picture of them two break and he leaves... This could indicate that their relationship may have been based on petty things like her looks, and that is now also over

I kind of got from it that our obsession over ourselves and inner conflicts can tear us apart from our relationships with others. By her battling with herself and stressing over being beautiful she drives away her boyfriend. Even once he walks into the room the first thing that happens is his foot breaks a photo of he and his girlfriend in half, separating them.

The message I got from this is that she is literally in a war with her reflection. She clearly has some sort of self doubt issues in her appearance (judging by the way she looked at the girl in the magazine), so I guess the whole video is like a metaphor for tearing yourself down.

this is so beautiful! im planning on persuing animation as a career and this is so inspiring! i love how even though this is CGI, there's almost like this brush stroke effect over the characters that makes it feel like a gorgeous oil painting come to life! i love it so much more than when animators like pixar attempt to look as smooth and realistic as possible. i mean dont get me wrong i LOVE realistic cgi as well, but effects like these just make it feel much more like a work of art. know what i mean?

In my opinion,This is talking about how we tear ourselves up everytime we look in the mirror....the magazine symbolises perfection , insecurities , comparisons and also it shows that's a common problem no one is really perfect everybody does this that's why the same thing happened to the guy Another way to see this is the mirror is maybe trying to discourage her from every effort to be like the woman in the magazine and accept herself because the sabotage started as soon as she applied the lipstick The same thing applies to the guy And the fight it's the vicious cycle. The battle to perfectionism is endless once you start it , it will be out of control before you know it maybe lips were the problem at the start by the end it will be your hair that's the problem So in the end it's creating awareness on the toxicity of perfect body image, but also a motivation to self acceptance

This short is a good illustration of how girls often tear themselves apart trying to look beautiful, in fear that they will be judged if they don't. Then the fear is becomes reality because people will judge you. You just have to keep moving on because the outside isn't all of you, isn't the real you.

The message here is to accept yourself how you are without comparing yourself with the magazine’s stereotype which lowers your self-esteem. The society criticizes the physical beauty, that’s why the people try to find the ways to look perfect like the woman in the video did. The woman had low self-esteem since she was obsessed in looking perfect like the magazines models. You can’t let yourself be influenced by what society says. You have to be yourself and look the way you are, you are pretty/handsome in your way. Don’t let the magazine’s stereotype lower your self-esteem.

And at the end, she is laughing, because it's actually he girl in the mirror, and she escaped. It's a lot darker if you take it the way I think about it.
