So beautiful and true. Most tend to forget that the greatest treasure... isnt made of silver nor gold... nor diamonds nor pearls... It comes from the heart... the purest of them all... the one that most take forgranted... Love.

***** The fact you offered up a duck at all intrinsically means you see it as less valuable than that of a human life. If you saw them as equally valuable, you would not go through with it in the first place.
@hunterfindon10189 жыл бұрын
***** Well I doubt the people accepting these exchanges can read your mind. So regardless of whether you feel it be worth less or more, it doesn't matter as long as you have... or lack the morals to do so.
@Digitize279 жыл бұрын
Hunter Findon Wrong, Throughout the show (I'm talking Brotherhood here) We see Edward consistently offering things up to the creature beyond the gate in return for his brother. This only works when *Spoilers for FMA:B* He offers up his ability to use Alchemy, which is seen as just as valuable to him as his brother's body (and is therefore an equivocal exchange. Keep in mind this is just his brother's body, not his soul, he's still alive; but all the same a concept like 'Not being able to do Alchemy anymore' Is somehow worth this. If this creature cannot read minds then this is just using some arbitrary measure; obviously it has some means of deeming personal worth on the things it is offered as exchange.
@hunterfindon10189 жыл бұрын
***** Well then, if that is the case where they somehow know the worth of something, then alright. Honestly, I know very little about this anime, so I'll take your word on that.

Rykken Beck Yeah, had the same, although this naturally seems like it would be the closing scene, after the son having traveled a long difficult journey to find this. Maybe it could also just pick up from here with the son and his daughter still trying to repair the machine while maybe some villain heard of it as well and is trying to beat them to it or so :P
@pixitier46049 жыл бұрын
Robert LC - Digital Artist I think if they were to try repairing it it would go against the moral of the tale. The journey plot would be a better option to me.
@morpheoss9 жыл бұрын
Robert LC - Digital Artist ya i don't see any reason why they would need to repair it if they did the hole point of this video would be pointless. also i don't think i would like some villain being added it would be much better of a movie without some bad guy they need to get rid of.
@CytheriaXylia9 жыл бұрын
Pixitier I agree. I think if it was ever a movie, it would be a whole lot more interesting if it was more about the journey. I think it would make this scene more powerful than it already is, and you'd gain more feelings for the son and gain more insight on what type of character he is.

I've been saying it for years. Only love matters. Music, food, walks, humor, talking..EVERYTHING takes on a certain glow. And of course strife and struggles as well as grieving are so much more bearable when shared with any one you trust and love the most. It can often be the easiest thing to discover for some or the single most difficult thing to achieve..but so worth at least trying and ONLY works when reciprocated.

Haruka Tsukiyama My point was more that he didn't have to go "this short is a million times better than this other completely unrelated movie. Ugh, that unrelated movie" to explain how he likes the short. Stating simple dislike or preference is a little different from that, or at least it is when you've had to babysit twins who like fighting over the damn movie until they're too tired not to. I didn't put his preferences down. If he doesn't like Frozen and likes this short, that's fine. TL;DR It's the way he put his like of this short into words by saying "this other thing is much worse" that I was focusing on.

@matthewsherman20859 жыл бұрын
Absolutely amazing. In my opinion, it also raises a question. Would YOU trade (precious) memories for wealth? To me personally, it would depend. Do the memories HAVE to be worth a lot to you, or can they be ones that you would like to forget anyway? Because I have a ton of memories I wish I could PAY to forget (as I'm sure we all do), let alone get gold out of it. But if I couldn't use those, and they had to be memories I don't want to forget, then screw it. There are some memories that are priceless. That no amount of gold could match. But what would you do? would you give up memories for gold? If you are base your choice on whether or not you can use unwanted memories, please include that.
@Mel-xd4my9 жыл бұрын
A very important question, it made me think! I would never use my memories for gold. Not even my bad ones. Those memories are also important to me because they have teached me so many things. Without them I wouldn't know the things I know now, and I wouldn't be the person I am now. I believe that bad memories can turn into something better if you set your mind to it. And by the way, this video is stunning! I am watching it over and over again...
@matthewsherman20859 жыл бұрын
You make a very good point. I forgot to mention that the bad memories I would personally have erased are ones that I am embarrassed or ashamed of. where I did or said something really stupid that made me feel like an idiot or just an ass. But then again, those memories made me who I am today. Whenever I think about those embarrassing times, it reminds me not to do or say that again. Those incidents changed me for the better. I guess maybe I changed my mind. I wouldn't trade my memories for gold either, even the embarrassing ones.
@scarbutterfly50038 жыл бұрын
