The special effects were so brilliantly done. Film work at it’s finest.

It’s actually not special effects… special effects are the ones captured in camera while filmed (blank firing guns exc.) so they are real, visual effects are the ones composited in and they weren’t there when it was filmed.

Veci Love yes i have it is a great movie with great cinematigraphy and good realistic action scenes and it should be watched with finnish language and only subtitles

I thought the Unknown soldier was set in the Winter war and not continuation war?

Nope, it tells the tale of the Continuation War. The author was a veteran of that war, and based his novel on his own experiences. The story follows the tale of his own regiment, JR8, and his battalion and company in it. The characters too are based on his old Continuation War brothers-in-arms.

Anna Marianne but I remember a popular scene in which a soldier kills a whole Russian platoon with his Suomi during winter time

The Continuation War lasted for over 3 years; from 1941 to 1944. That's three winters. And yes, the scene where Rokka kills the Soviet ski platoon happens in winters, as do a few others scenes.

CGI blood splatter is the ugliest and laziest effect ever conceived, it always looks bad.

Perhaps, but they had to add CGI blood to some scenes. In many scenes though they used practical effects blood (blood bag exploding under the actor's shirt.)
