This is called efficiency! They work with limited resources and produce a great final result! For similar results big companies would use a huge team, big time rendering, complex composition workflow. And the amount of time, and Money spent at end, will only result on a little better result. Almost imperceptive. Here the simplicity and creativity win. Congratulations for all!

+aaronsbot I think they made it with After Effect (duplicated them). There are plugins that can handle crowd generation.

I had no idea this was CGI, especially with the 'imperfect' timing of some of the figures, so I guess they did an amazing job. I wish there was a commentary instead of the annoying whistle track on this video though.

Watched it again and now I can't unsee the CGI. I guess I was focused on Torre in the opening. Good job, I've never noticed before in the zillion times I've watched it. Its weird now its completely obvious. Great video regardless.

Hi, are they masking the background in photoshop? Is that possible? I thought, you can only do that by rotoscoping in AEF.

+Zobodohtar most likely, they just painted out the track markers in one frame in PS so it could be keyed out with ease in AE then replaced it with the actual clip, then did some masking and roto after.

I would domit on Maya and nuke but for the buget element 3d is not bad , I feel bad for the man cos he pre composed a lot in after effect

+Icomment AE is good for certain stuff ,maya and nuke yes are hard to learn and take a lot of time if u wanna be pro u need to learn the hardest softwares, the Maya and nuke will gets any job u want on any studio or moving maker if u being pro

Kinda disliked the animations, because i spotted it straight away. Though, the result is very nice, considering these guys were relatively inexperienced. Still, this project lasted over 1 year, so i do think the animation remark is valid.

+zineddine based on my experience, you could take a screen cap of a frame in the greenscreen footage, pull it in after effects, key it out then replace with actual clip which you then would have to mask and do minor roto
