In the first seconds, I though the room was real and only the animated cloth was CG. The combination of the photo realistic look and camera technics are just amazing. Thanks for sharing the breakdown.

People really need videos like this from you, please make more and often with photo realistic renders in blender, and probably make a patreon to sell your assets and project files or just for early access of your videos, please make more videos like this bro.

For all those stuck on the animation part, i figured it out, All you have to do is select the fabric hit the record button on the bottom (looks like a standard video camera button) and let the animation do its thing :), after you are happy with the animation of the cloth you can then delete the character model and the cloth will keep the animation :)

You don't need HDRI for closed environments, nobody can tell the difference. Just fake it with sun and spot lights. It saves so much of render time.

Ive tried it.. But to get the realistic cloth sim I found blender cloth sim was quite difficult.. Or may be Im doing something wrong.. So I used MD

It took 3 hours to render in 200 samples.. Project design took a complete day
