Poor Odysseus in the first scene seemed quite terrified of angering her, which is understandable for a) any mortal dealing with gods and b) Odysseus especially. While I agree, he does talk about Calypso as being hospitable to him in The Odyssey, too. If I am not mistaken, while he shudders at the sound of her voice, cries every single day at shore and doesn't trust her when she says she will release him, he describes her as kind to King Alcinous. If anything, it sounds more like he doesn't like talking about it. But I do hope there are context clues that that might be case in here.

another interesting thing to note is that even though Odysseus has been with Goddesses, his one true love is his wife, Penelope, who remained faithful and true to him even though every one else believed that he had died on his way home from the Trojan War and were pressuring her to marry one of the many suitors that came for her hand, Odysseus eventually returns home to Penelope after more than 20 years apart with some assistance from Athena, who favored him for his cunning and wily nature, and they rekindled their relationship

I think the resolution of Odysseus will probably be reconciling with his family though. It seems more like he is starting to have second thoughts now that he is dead then him being that different when he was alive.
