Is this class also good for noobs in FX? and with noob I imply someone who doesn't know jackshit about FX for games. also, is this using houdini besides unreal or only in unreal, a combination? etc.

hi, it should. The 1st weeks are for complete beginners , while the later ones are much more advanced. The main tool of the course will be unreal and photoshop, but also some 3dsmax. Same concepts would apply for maya or Houdini.
