I'm a little concerned. You're spray painting indoors, without gloves or protection for your clothes but more importantly without a respirator (or at least the mask you have in your hand). Aerosols can have long term adverse health effects and with enough spraying you can get dizzy or even faint. Also please remember that some viewers may follow your example since this is a tutorial.
@lightspeedbubble73593 жыл бұрын
Hugin is a very powerful program. As for its pronounciation, given how the stick figure in the logo seems to be hugging a panorama with its arms, I'm almost certain it's pronounced the same way.

Now a tip from a VFX compositor and TD who started as a Special FX engineer. Rough the ball up with some 400 or 800 sandpaper. Then spray a matte white or grey primer on it. Then the green Then a matte laquer. That way the paint will stick far better. And kids, many passes and thin coats of the rattle can is better than a wet coat. Wet coats on spherical objects will cause drippies. And always keep your spray can, nozzle or airbrush moving from side to side or up and down. Don’t linger to layer paint 🤓 And for CGMatter you may wanna do some spill suppression on the right bottom side near the hand.

Either Daisuke is really good at greenscreening and comping or he did it for real. You can tell by your ball you see the green shadows under your thumb which really break the illusion. Also the edges on your ball were a little too blurry and sometimes didn't get covered by the photo. Overall a Great video! Cool concept and can't wait to see more!

How would one go about creating a UV map for physically printing this effect? If you can create a cut-out that can be made into a sphere; presumably you can take an hdri, transfer it to this flat globe mesh in uv-mapped form, then print something which can be wrapped perfectly onto a physical ball...

hugin is great, but you have to play with the parameters. Google camera app has an option for photosphere built in, so you don't need street view, at least on Android. Lots of fun. How do you get as old as that and not know how to open a spray paint can?
@Lozoot23 жыл бұрын
Daddy default, since you're working with equirectangular stuff, I've got a request! I do work with a 360 camera (Insta360 One X) and the software for it is absolute ass. One of the things I need to do is reframe footage - like projecting the 360 footage to the inside of a sphere, stabilizing it, and using a scene camera to track sections of it to make it look like it was shot with a regular camera. I know it's a niche thing, but do you think you could do a video on that? I've got plenty of footage I could donate for you to work with.
