Dave, i'am so grateful for the speed of your tutorials. Question: I do not have octane, it is possible to achieve this kind of finish with the regular C4D render engine? It would be great if you make a render tutorial with that render. Again, thanks and keep the good work.
@CGShortcuts5 жыл бұрын
Good to hear you're liking the tutorials mate! I do most of my stuff in Octane these days because it's soo much faster and I'm pumping out a lot of content and 3D work. You can definitly achieve the same look without it but it might be a bit slower to setup and render. I made a full length course you can have a look at which covers rendering in the standard renderer (and compares it to doing the same thing in Octane) here's the link. Cheers!

I know you're building a lot of stuff in Octane so it would be great if you go a little bit deeper into creating some of the materials in your scenes. You could potentially do a tutorial to replicate the styles that wannerstedt and motiongraphics_collective. Patterns/ textures, etc. Take for example the Jelly scene you have. Would love to see the material you used in the Jelly scene for example. Thanks!

tHX, BUT i NEED MORE INFORMATION ABOUT CRCKS AND GLASS MATERIAL,
@CGShortcuts5 жыл бұрын
Here's a little tip mate, use a standard glass shader (refractive index 1.465) and put an image like this into your roughness and bump www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/170503535867489929/?lp=true, that'll give you the same look;)

@Vertexvoyager Жыл бұрын
how do you get the rainbow colors showing on your text?
@CGShortcuts Жыл бұрын
Thats the Transmission 'Dispersion' effect in the material. This value describes how much the refractive index (IOR) in a transparent material varies across the spectrum of light wavelengths which results in a color shift in the material.

Hi guys. Can anyone know how to solve voroni fracture doesn't rendering in octane but it is fine in octane live viewer ? I mean when i animate shattered glass in voroni fracture its fine in octane live viewer. But when i give final render nothing displayed where voroni fracture shattered glass or object. But background lighting and other rest of the object rendering but voroni fracture won't rendering..
@CGShortcuts4 жыл бұрын
You might need to cache it or bake it;)
