God is the answer, but i still say its our choice in life what we make of it, i grew up in Welkom very very poor during the 1960/70 in between the gold mines and railway community, had very religious parents, i became a boilermaker apprentice, got qualified November 1979, and went and worked on the gold mines as an artisan, built up a very good pension and today am living very good thanks to Gods grace, all 5 of us kids stayed true to Gods word of one must work to earn money, only 3 of us left today but still serve God, Gen 3 vs 19==== one must work to earn one's bread ,not like the ANC who believe one steals the taxpayers money,

Poor youth who no one cares for you as he said, it's always been this way where it's each man, woman, son, daughter, dog for itself. My advice for my Coloured people stay in school and complete your education, get trained as a teacher, nurse, social worker etc any key worker position that can get you away from this mess. Once you qualify just go abroad and experience a new life because the ANC will do NOTHING for you.

Proverbs 4:14-22 Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

Everybody says these kids need their father in their life if they had their dad they would be different i know a lot of guys who's grew up in a good family ate dinner together wit their mom n dad together or even if they weren't there father was still in there life a they still got in trouble went to jail sold drugs did drugs or drank joined gangs so that don't mean shit my parents separated wen I was like 6years old my dad wasn't around I wouldn't see him for years at a time I'm 35 wen I see him we say hi to each other n that's it I can't have a conversation wit him my mom struggled n worked 2 or 3 jobs n wasn't around but wen she was she would be tired n we would aggravate her n piss her off n yeah she would hit us well id get my ass beat but I deserved it 100% and yell but that's called DISCIPLINE!!! Not child abuse like everyone calls it these days I'm not perfect I have my problems n been to jail I'm the only 1 outta 4of us that gets in trouble never anything serious but I know right from wrong I'm very respectful cause my Mother was a great mom and made sure we were all raised right and I love her for that mom's need to step up they want to have kids wit these dudes that they know ain't gonna be around n they hope having a kid will keep them around but it don't so they don't care cause all they say is their dad needs to teach them to be a man nahh u don't have to be a man to teach him right from wrong and respect for women cause he ain't a real man if he can't step up n be there for his kid don't matter who he is or wut he does on the streets

The victim mentality of the lady blaming apartheid for a society's failure is astonishing. Yet she doesn't say anything about the corrupt ANC government, the gang violence between coloured people, the absence of father figures, and the drug trade in her communities. Respect to the gentleman.

@@Ken-tr8si No honestly a lot of coloureds in SA would prefer to be back under apartheid as the govt then cared for them more than the ANC govt. Look at that old school he was showing, it was running until the 90s under apartheid with classes in carpentry etc for the coloureds, then when the ANC took over the funding stopped.

This has to be done more often so that they don’t get opportunities to sell drugs and have illegal fire arms. Community has to play role by helping law enforcement officials to do their jobs they can’t normalise this kind of life by killing our own community they should be protecting.

but it still stays our choice in life what we do with our lives, God gave us our own free will to decide what we do with it, , i grew up very very poor in Welkom during the 1960/70s, played with the railway kids who stayed in the street, my father worked all his working career in gold mines but i decided in Jan 76 im going to become a boilermaker apprentice and got qualified in Nov 79 and in between did my 1-year army stint, also went and worked on gold mines and built up a very big pension which enabled me to earn enough money to be able to move to Germany when going on pension, if we do not honour God Almighty we are lost, yes my parents where very religious and taught us values in life, but it still stays our choice what we do wit it,
