I have to say that I am a piano teacher and I am very sad to have read that this beautiful gift of a child did not find a teacher to teach him when he was two, because I have worked with a two-year-old and I have flourished him beautifully! The time he was four years old he had already passed his twin brother and sister who were for at the time I started them and they were eight years old his skills were phenomenal! I also have worked with a three-year-old little girl who is absolutely brilliant and I actually believe that the smaller the child the greater the learning skills! I yearn to think what this amazing little boy could’ve accomplished had he found a teacher who believed they had the skills to teach him and that “he was able to start lessons and could have read music” which is exactly what I teach my small piano students to do! They do and can read music, I don’t write a note in but I actually teach them how to play real songs and read notes! Small children are absolutely amazing at that age and their learning capacity by the time they reach the age that this young man started his piano lessons are extremely accomplished little children and students! I applaud his parents for buying him a $20,000 piano bravo to you both you believe in your child and you believed in his stunning ability to love music thank you for your gift to the universe may be a blessing to the world musically I know he will bring much light to the world I applaud his parents for buying him a $20,000 piano bravo to you both you believed in your child and you believed in his stunning ability to love music thank you for your gift to the universe may be a blessing to the world musically I know he will bring much light to the world!i have always started young children in my entire career and still do for I believe that they have such an incredible capacity for learning at a very young age they’re minds are so clear and they see everything very absolute! Continued success little man!

Nathaniel Zhan Hi Nathaniel I have been a piano teacher for the past near 50 years and my specialty is starting small children and I will tell you that they are amazing the matter what age they are for they have a gift for learning and they are pure and everything they do is beyond excellent! I’m currently teaching quite a few smaller children... I have a three-year-old I have two 4-year-old boys, several 5 years old. But my little three-year-old is a girl and she is absolutely priceless, so I’m not bragging but I am telling you the experiences that I have teaching smaller children has been incredibly rewarding and they learn so well! I don’t know if you have ever studied music but I will tell you what I love teaching and seeing the young mind develop and I have many clients in my home with my youngest student of three and my oldest is 76 years old!! I have a wide range of ages in all of my clients... therefore I love my work regardless of age and I see that I was blessed to do what I do! Teaching people how to learn no matter what age is a gift and I cherish the gift that I was given to pass on to other students no matter what age they are! I hope this encourages you to know that learning at any age is a gift and one who processes to gift of teaching is also a blessing because for me teaching is an art...it encompasses the whole human being of teacher and student connection!

You have a strange idea of what "successful" and "supportive" mean. They bought him a $20,000 piano to... play useless music. Why spend that money on something worthwhile when you can waste it on entertainment? Why encourage a kid to grow up to have a job that benefits society when you can make them an entertainer? We have a generation of kids who want to be pop stars, football players, and Twitch video-game streamers. When I was a kid, kids would tell you they wanted to be a teacher, doctor, fireman when they grew up. Kids now are lazy attention-cravers who want easy $$$ and care nothing about actual needs of their community. "I want to bring the audience happiness." Yeah, that's going to bring real happiness, right. Sure, we're born with an incurable disability that society stigmatizes, sure we lost our house in a wildfire or hurricane, sure we lost family members to covid, sure we have gun violence outside our own kids' bedroom windows, but hey, we can be happy because some little rich kid can play music. Priorities, gees. A supportive parent would lead kids in the right direction to grow up to be a good person, not to be a selfish attention-seeking person.

Although I never became a famous pianist or accordionist, music is what defines me even today although I earned my living as an in-house counsel and transactional lawyer. Children will show talent for one of the arts from a very early age. A child's brain is like a sponge or a hard disk and gifted children can handle a great deal, as long as they are having fun and enjoying what others might consider hard work.
