What happened to Keith's nephew or half brother - I couldn't follow who then went missing after the nephew came to Manchester and met Keith, yet disappeared when he was due to get a flight back ??? I always believed a lady I knew growing up, who moved with her Mum to my home town from Liverpool, looked of Oriental descent. She didn't know who her Dad was. Now seeing this video, I am almost certain this was her story, too. I truly can't believe how despicably the British government treated those Chinese men and their subsequent partners, wives, children and families. Such tunnel, narrow vision, them only looking at the 'now' and not taking into account what could, would happen in the future. They needed these Chinese men to aid us in every way, because the white British men were away in the forces. Same as later with the Caribbeans in the 1950s Windrush era, to aid us build our country back. I am a person, woman, with empathy, a good working moral compass, know fairness, as well as knowing right and wrong. I was always proud to be English, British, and felt lucky to have been born here, my family going back many, many generations. I know it wasn't me, and I had no part in any of this, but too much of what occurred years past and how the British government and people in power treated those from the Empire and Colonies etc., more and more makes me feel ashamed to be British. Had women been in power, or had more of an in-put into legislations and laws passed, I doubt any of what has occurred in our past would have happened to the degree it did, if at all. I hope all children, grandchildren and families affected, can find the answers they need, so they can attempt to make peace with it all.🌹.
