I’m Nagoya people. You should totally give 喫茶店 a try. They've got this unique atmosphere that you might really get into.

No offense but you are not comparing apple to apple right here. As someone lives right outside of Seattle, I love coffee culture here, but coffee culture in Japan is totally another level, and that is because of Kissaten, not Starbucks, convenience store or canned coffee. Kissaten has been around over a century. They have so many choices of coffee from around the world, brewing method and serving style. There are also different types of kissatens, like quiet kissaten, Jazz kissaten, classical kissaten and so on. I hope you will experience some of them.
I couldn’t agree more with the empty Starbucks inside vs long line up for the drive-through in North America haha

No need to go buy your morning coffee. I wake up at 6am and spend an hour drinking a few cups of coffee from my favorite coffee machine. I take a shower at 7am, get ready for work, and leave the house at 8am. I usually work from 9:00 to 17:00.

My home city in Japan of Starbuks open at 7 o' clock. I did't know Starbucks open diffrent time at another area! I kind of understand Japanese drink coffee for relixe. I often do too.
I was really surprised. The toji of Takaraiya is a high school classmate. No way, two people are drinking here! I don't get into my head about coffee at all😂
I'm watching this video for my shadowing practice, my English study. Thanks for the topic and content that they are talking about, makes me keep practicing !!
Kid(紀土)is a local Japanese sake in Wakayama prefecture. It's not pricy and the flavor is really nice and sweet. I recommend.

お二人の会話、いつも楽しんでます♪Many of my friends love McDonald black coffee. Surprisingly it's really good😊 And some ppl like Blue Bottle but it's too sour for me. Where I live (So Cal), MAMEYA is opened a year ago, and they serve PourOver (ハンドドリップ) like 喫茶店. I bet it's the only place to serve such JPN style coffee! BTW I can no longer drink standard black coffee in JPN. Bcoz it's too dark compared to US coffee. I can only drink アメリカン while I'm in JPN😅 Oh, we eat donuts as breakfast here, but it's 3 o'clock deserts in JPN 😂
I want to know a little bit more info about the coffee shop in Niigata that you mentioned. My mother lives in Niigata. Next time I visit her, I want to take her to that shop. Thanks.
Hey Arthur! I’ve been living the UK but I see something in common here as well. But here in London we have lots of cafes where people use their individual things like work and reading books. Been a while since I last went to New York but I think it’s true for New York now too.
Do you need only Japanese sake? I love Japanese spirit, Shochu 焼酎. My favorite Shochu is ひとり歩き “HitoriAruki” If you have an interest in 焼酎、it)s worth to taste it! “.
10:00 朝9時にはalready done with cofffeeで既にランチのことを考えている で笑いました笑 勉強になった表現も沢山あります!↓ what are the odds? neck of my woods that's the whole point completely night and day
Thanks for the interesting video! I think I know the difference between canned coffee and convenience store coffee. 🤣 I understand that canned coffee is not normal coffee, but something else called "canned coffee", and I am a fan of it. However, the aroma and taste of canned coffee is getting better. I used to like Roots canned coffee from a company called JT, but it seems to be gone.😂
