日本巨匠朝比奈隆所指揮一次偉大的布爾克納第八交響曲演奏,氣勢恢宏浩瀚若海。尤其第三樂章感人肺腑熱淚盈眶。A great Japanese Brucknerian, Asahina Takashi, deeply touching rendition of Anton Bruckner's great 8th Symphony. Bravo !
To listen to Asahina's Bruckner is to hear the voice of God . From chaotic Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun . I am one of Japanese Brucknerian .

Exquisite from beginning to end! Asahina San's interpretation is more deep on every listen. I've never heard tempo so well balanced - both momentum and pauses (49:25, 53:50). The orchestra also has a most beautiful, rich string sonority (29:09, 45:45), and double bases really hit hard where it counts (33:30, 35:15, 1:07:28). Much respect to the performers. 36:00 is just heavenly 🙏.
The Bruckner discography lists 15 performances of this symphony by Asahina given between 1976 and 2001. At around 78 minutes, this is one of his less ponderous accounts. At times, his performances lasted between 85 and 88 minutes. I think a more flowing tempo as in this performance is more convincing.
