I can sure see how difficult it would be to close up and say goodbye to your beautiful chateau! She's like an elegant lady watching over her domain! Thankfully the Lord is watching over her! So thankful the roofers are lined up and on the schedule, what a relief! Welcome back to our beautiful North West! It's much colder outside, but hopefully a LOT warmer inside! I'll be looking forward to seeing what you post next, and again, would so love to meet you in person! Lord bless your work and labor of love! Mary from WallaWalla!

God bless you Rob for always waving when passing in front of a mirror 🙂 Love the message about getting with a community Rob and Leslie. Life is indeed no good alone. Amazing the difference from December and now in those rooms and spaces. It must feel great to endure those lonely cold times renovating the house and then contrast that with the place full of life.

It's always great to see the Chateau again. A person who is good with very old windows is valuable indeed. The experience you are offering young people is exceptional. A safe place with fabulous history, away from the bustle, but close enough to visit important locations in France. I love to see your eyes twinkle when you talk about it. Have fun in Paris! :)

If you going to do up a Chateau then you two are certainly doing it from the ground up, such a great way to get to know how it was built. Maybe you can expand like the British series Escape to the Chateau, the Strawbridges certainly with fame ended up with additional financial support. Love watching your episodes, God Bless, be safe and watch out for those ghosts 👻

You have a lot of influence in this world, whether you know it or not. I am asking you to announce or to ask people to donate to the toys for tots. Hello Rob and Leslie... this series is my guilty pleasure as I have travelled throughout France and have a special spot for the Loire Valley in my heart. Having worked with Martha Stewart and House & Home ( Canadian!!) I like your decor approach. I do have a question as a - not so closet - foodie.. I am very curious about the meals you plan for your students. Great grounds.. so much potential for herb gardens and kitchen garden -- what are your plans if any? xoxo

RE your mold problem. Mold is caused by high humidity and lack of airflow. Boaters have the very same issue. What works in stopping mold is a fan that circulates the air. You suggested having a person stay in the chateau during the winter when your not there, but the secret is to move or remove the humidity trapped inside the chateau with fans directed where the mold has been seen. The airflow stops the condensation forming and condensing into mold.

Looking forward to summer terms. Remember the students could contribute to your videos. They are on to vlogs. Yes it would take time to edit but save you having to do all the work. Would also love to see snippets of what materials you use (the speakers) as long as it doesn't affect copyright laws. Chateau looks beautiful. Wish I'd had a opportunity like this when starting out. Leslie is an interior designer, that obviously wasn't their choice. It was painted that way when they bought it. Their laundry list is long, they'll get to it. I'm sure it will depend on what they find for that adjoining bedroom.

The place is looking great. You guys have worked really hard. Maybe I missed it, but I'm not seeing something, that in my opinion, is essential for your students to fully experience the atmosphere of a mid-19th century French chateau. There is no piano! At least one of those grand rooms needs a baby grand. Any plans to get one?

Ohhhh we need one so bad.... Both Leslie and I spent years on the piano and both still play regularly (for personal pleasure and at church sometimes).

Idk. The tile in the bathroom of the second bedroom you showed on the upper floor. It appears burgundy or brown in the video. The tile itself isn't bad. However, it probably should have been installed horizontally instead of vertically. It's the up and down pattern that throws the appearance off. Wonder why previous owners would have had it put in that way.

We host a 2 month study abroad program. We're independent, but... so far about 10 universities have granted us transfer credit, and we have articulation agreements with about 3 schools. We offer 12 semester credits (4 classes). www.loirevalleystudyabroad.com/courses for more info Incidentally, religious studies can be found in most large schools, indeed, many of the most distinguished schools began as primarily religious schools.

Would there be any chance you all would be willing to hear a presentation of some of the many problems with the 66 books that comprise the Protestant Bible? It might be helpful in fully understanding the Christian world view. You do not want your kids going out into the world without knowing how the Bible was written and the many pitfalls built into the Christian faith. P.S. The house looks wonderful!
