It's not in my Bible or my Book of Mormon. In fact the Book of Mormon completely forbids what he did. My Doctrine and Covenants (the Mormon book of beliefs) goes even farther "Thou Shalt not kill or do anything like unto it..." "Thou😢 Shalt not commit adultery or do anything like unto it. In the case of murder we are directed to hand any who kill over to the law of the land and that the matter is to be proven according to the law of the land. There is only condemnation for Chad in the Mormon books. He is not justified.

I disagree with Mr Smith on Christian church doctrines. Christian churches outside of the LDS faith has always condemned polygamy and Smith, the Mormon founder was kicked out of many states for his “heretical” beliefs. Perhaps the LDS church doesn’t teach that part of their history to its members. I could be wrong but any of the Christian churches I’ve attended none believe in multiple lives (reincarnation). Perhaps Mr Smith should go outside the LDS faith and study other doctrines to see what’s out there.

Vinnie, Chad's colleague, is also a nut-case. He is NOT correct. Chad's primary belief system comes from tier one. If it were not for the Book of Mormon (and the D&C), tier two and three would not exist. The concept of light (white and delightsome) vs. dark and loathsome comes directly from the Book of Mormon and the stories of the Lamanites (dark) and the Nephites (light) leads to Chad and Lori's belief in dark zombies. You need to interview more ex mormons (me) to get into where the open-ended revelation concept also comes directly from the BOM. marcus

I really wish the media when discussing this case would not forget Charles Vallow. He was murdered by Alex Cox at the behest of Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow-Daybell. Charles really tried to alert his and Lori’s families and law enforcement to the disturbing behaviour of his wife. He told the police he worried about his children and his own safety. Lori had told him she could murder him. All this fell on deaf ears. I feel so sorry for his surviving sons.

I wonder if it all starts with reading books like the Left Behind series. I started reading them when I was 22 or 23, and I could have totally been swept up into a prepper cult if one had come along at the time. The prepping and end time theories would have pulled me in. I definitely would have bailed over the zombie theory, but if I'm honest, at the time, I totally would have been onboard with magical powers, like controlling the weather and teleporting. I would not have been ok with the adultery. I'm still really surprised with how ok everyone was with this. Mormans are supposed to mate for life, like birds.
