Im not sure I would feel so comfortable staying in a parking lot and cooking etc but you seem ok with it. Love your positive attitudes!! Glad you get to do a promo in exchange for lodging!! Stockton, yuk. Your not missing much at glass beach, there’s really no glass left. You really have to dig to find any, I lived there too 😊. The town of Mendocino is fun for about an hour, cute little town. Fun in the 4th of July , otherwise kind of boring town. Be very careful on hwy 1, it’s very twisty . But beautiful coast drive, parking is bad. Don’t leave your car out of sight, there’s a lot of people living in vans and trailers because of the wildfires few yrs back. A lot of people lost there homes, and didn’t recover.. FYI it’s not pronounced mendochino, think of the c as an s 😊

Makes sure you go to the $ Tree where every thing is a One Dollar. And go to 99 cent city Where all is not a dollar, but great deals . I know your on a budget but it is fun to go through both stores. Then also have food. Could possible stock up on canned food. Let me know if you explore these stores you will have fun

Just saw this one, so you've probably already got your battery cable fixed, but I wanted to suggest looking up an electrician at whatever local town. They almost certainly would have what you need, or could build it in 15 minutes. Heck, for some screen time or mention, they might be persuaded to do it for a discount or free.

Oh no, I have a rockpal 330... I work in the city ,ALOT. I live/ mostly sleep in my van and use my power bank very little when not working... ugh this give me bad vibes on the unit...

We loved our rockpal so much! Maybe we just had a bad unit, no need to worry! Probably had something to do with our solar panel. (It wasn’t a rockpal solar panel)

Wow....you are only 30 miles from me now and Stockton is not a great place to be. How did you get from the coast to Stockton? Seems odd. Not to scare you but I would be more afraid in Stockton than San Francisco.

We actually had to loop this way because we had something shipped to an Amazon locker before making our way to Yosemite. Luckily we had no issues in Stockton though!

@@ChadandClaire Be sure to hit tunnel view, hike to lower yosemite falls...too bad Glacier Point is closed. My favorite. Fill up with gas in Oakdale or Mariposa depending which way you go. Main stops best prices. Groveland has gas too. Have fun and be safe.

Hey! I guess it depends on the gas station and we find that if a place is busy and if you make an appearance with the attendants they don’t care. We don’t park at gas stations too often. So far we have not been asked to leave. We feel pretty safe especially because we can just turn on our security system as we sleep.

Hey Alexandra!! At the end of July 2021 we will be traveling internationally to South America. It has been a dream of ours since before we started van life and because of covid we had to cancel our plans. It will still be us but no longer in a van. We definitely want to build out another van, bus, or something in the future though!
