Welcome to Florida! So happy for you all! A little advice from a lifelong Florida girl: find some local honey and eat it everyday before all the trees and flowers start to bloom in March. This will help your allergies adjust. There are a lot of local produce stands that sell local honey. I recommend gallberry flavor because it comes from a lot of different flowers. Plus it has a mild taste that’s delicious in tea or coffee! Just a tip to help with the pollen that’s coming soon🙏❤️😊

Do you have the ability to take your time or are you moving for work? I lived in FL for over 40 years, on the coast and the last 18 in Orlando. If you are working in Orlando I wouldn't recommend DeLand. Traffic is a nightmare. If you are retired and could consider some alternative lifestyle like camper, VRBO, hotel--then travel around and see where you want to be. Ocala has equestrian centers, from the Space Coast down to the Treasure Coast you can walk out in your yard and watch the rockets launch. The other side of the state you've got the Gulf of Mexico, sunsets. Just travel around until your heart says you're home

Your home is beautiful and the land is just what you need for your animals. I'm so glad you found the perfect place. I lived in FL for over 40 years and I just wanted to say, if you haven't already, please take time to familiarize yourself with the snakes in your area. There are many poisonous ones and you might want to show the older kids what to look out for. Best wishes for your new, exciting life!

Erin! Have Chad make you a sturdy butcher block work station for your kitchen. Not a small one, but a good sized one. Placed in the center of your kitchen, you will increase your work space ten fold.

All of the animals will need shelter and shade from the heat and storms. Heat and hydration are huge factors for the animals and people here in Florida. The simple act of taking your pet in the car when you run to the store, can cost them their life. Be careful and enjoy the mild weather. Love your new home! Welcome to Florida!

I want him to make me an island similar, maybe a tad shorter, and slightly narrower with locking wheels. I used to live in various parts of Florida most of my life, loved it. My husbands job relocated us to Oklahoma. I know Florida well, be careful of snakes please. Especially while your babies are playing around outside on the farm.
