Erin Injured Her Arm! (A painful season at the Paine house)

To say it has been a tough couple of weeks at our house is an understatement! Erin fell from an elevated height while watering one of her plants at home. The doctors say this injury will take months to heal completely, so we will make some adjustments at our house, with Mama taking it easy.
Chad and the kids have been stepping up in so many ways to help ensure the family stays on track, and Erin’s mom came down with Jeb and Callie for a few days, which was a tremendous blessing to us all!
We are grateful for family and for the support and love they have given. It will be an interesting next few weeks, maybe a little slower than usual, but we would greatly appreciate your prayers for Erin as she continues to heal.

I am a 71 year old grandmother who is totally blessed by Godly parents who compliment each other and are there through the thick and thin places in life for each other. I lift you and your family up in prayer as you walk through this painful journey!!! Bone bruising is extremely painful. My son had a bruised knee bone and his consultant said grown men cry from the pain but Praise the Lord it got better as will you 😊

Oh , Erin, I feel you! I twisted my ankle before Thanksgiving and thought it was broken. The sprain has been horrible. I’m a widowed mom of a toddler with Down Syndrome and I have been limping and hobbling all over. I wonder what God is teaching me through this. I think it is to slow down . I injured my elbow in September when walking my dog. Something pulled. And I wasn’t able to lift or grab anything. Started out like a bruise but got worse as time went on. It’s taken since then. No lifting or grabbing anything heavy on that side. But at least I could do self care and cook etc. and no children at home anymore. Let God do a small miracle to heal this quickly.

Oh Erin, aww I'm so sorry. God Bless you hun. I know that pain, nothing like it. Some years back, I fell playing with my kids on my Bike. Bad break, surgery, and longggg recovery. Oh how we take our limbs for granted. Right handed too, like you. Then to have to use your other hand to brush your teeth, comb hair, get dress, bathroom... fold laundry one handed, house chores, etc. I had many, many days of tears. Yaya! Momma Bates to the rescue!!😊 Erin I know the recovery road seems long and far off. Before you know it, time will pass and you will recover. I fell (down my stairs) last August and broke my knee. It's been 6 months and after surgery and tons of physical therapy, I am almost back to normal. You will be too. God is so good. This video has cut deep. Look at you Erin, extremely hurt arm, so many inconveniences and struggles that come with that... and you're smiling and laughing and positive. Wow, I'm convicted of my sinful spirit. Our family is going through something really hard (not health related, praise the Lord) but I have not kept a faithful spirit about me. I do trust the Lord to walk through it with us, but, I don't know, maybe because it feels like we've been "going through" hard trials for so long now, I am weary and not able to smile nor be positive. Just surviving. I am praying for you, Erin. For quick healing, for emotions to stay positive and for the Lord to provide all you need during this time. I dont know who l feel the worse for Erin or Chad. Life was just getting back to normal after William's birth and now this. 3 months. My mother in law had the same experience and broke ribs. Was told there was nothing to do for ribs. She was always having pain throughout the years breathing. I am sorry Erin but am grateful your Mom was available to help out. Can any of your younger sisters help out? Remember you need to put fake plants above and live plants down below, close at hand.Praying for a fast recovery. Grateful it wasnt worse. Am grateful you have an amazing husband who gives great support ! Not all husbands would cooperate as readily with even providing a cold pack. Seen it many times over. Chad is amazing ! I was in a car accident 4yrs ago and shattered my elbow, had to have surgery and got a bunch of screws and plates. And it was also my dominant arm. Ice,ice,ice, that is what literally got me thru the most painful times. It also didn't help that I'm already a paraplegic since birth born with spina bifida so I was literally down to 1 extremity. But yes honey ice all the time. Feel better soon. ❤
