I grew up eating every meal around the table with my parents , my Mom cooked every night & we ate when my Dad came home from work. We rarely ate out & we went to my Grandparents for dinner on Sunday . I treasure those memories ❤️

I grew up poor and we lived in motels. My dad was an alcoholic and my mom suffered from mental illness. We didn’t even own a family table. We would sit on the floor or on the motel beds to eat. What a blessing it is to watch your family, I’m in my 50s and your channel ministers to me. Thank you for letting me see what a family looks like.

My home life was often lonely growing up, parents who were not too emotionally/physically available and there was some substance abuse and mental illness in my home also. I often ate alone when I was younger. I feel that it has been a blessing for me too to see families who’s dynamic is more stable and who love big. I do have a loving family but that time in my life was tough. Thank you for sharing your heart with us and for sharing how this channel encourages you. 🤍 Sending a virtual hug your way!

I love Erin’s apron and her hair! I always get so much inspiration from y’all’s channel. Watching y’all’s lives reminds me of how I was brought up. We always ate dinner around the table and my parents always made sure to have family devotions with my siblings and I. It takes a lot of cooking when you have a family. It saves so much money to actually cook at home rather than get all the processed items. I never buy processed. I use a juicer for each day and I also make my own milks and creamers. Real food for sure.

Thank you for posting this Erin and Chad. I will be making this recipe this week. I have raised all 5 of my children to have family meals around the table. It is much easier to do this when they are small because jobs, sports etc. come in to play, that said we still have at least 7-10 meals together per week. It's our family time to talk, laugh and hold sacred what is really important, Family. Have a great day !!!

Great recipe. Little hint, use a bakers rack under your bacon. It gets the bacon off the foil for air flow, crisps it faster, and the bacon is not soaking in its fat. Then you can pour the fat in a container for hot oil and refrigerate to use to flavor other things like vegetables or use for cooking with. Great for grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches. Spread the solid bacon grease lightly on your bread for grilled cheese bacon sandwich or a BLT. But just lightly.👍

Loved Momma’s little helper. Letting the little ones help is a great way to get them interested in cooking. Just a little tip - if your lemons are firm pop them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften them or roll the lemon on the work surface, both methods release lots of juice.

That dinner looked delicious 😋 I’m 67 years old and my favorite memories were of my 3 brothers and my parents always having our meals at the kitchen table. My mom was an amazing cook and we never ate out . We were Portuguese so my mom Cooked lots of Portuguese dishes 😋I miss that . I miss those times my parents are gone and one of my brothers 😢. We were a very close family my parents lived their life’s around their kids . My dad used to say his family was #1 . He never went out with friends and my mom was a stay at home mom . We were very Blessed with parents that loved us and gave use an amazing child hood . I miss them so much and also my brother that passed away at the age of 50 years old 😢. What really hurts me is my mom was still here and had to go through losing a son at 50 😢 my dad was gone already. Enjoy your family because the years go by so fast ♥️.
