Yeah you can literally just make the noise with your mouth. And it only works if the dog knows it means something. Just making an annoying noise at the dog with no context is just going to make it confused and probably not do what you want it to do

The “quit it” pet corrector works. I work at a dog grooming place, and we use it when dogs are barking too much. It’s louder than it seems and it’s usually used to get a dog’s attention. It can get them to stop barking.

So it doesnt really translate directly, as it really does not mean the same thing. A “brøler” is a word we use in danish to describe a big mistake, which is missing in your translation, therefore its more about “avoid mistakes / failures”, while it also can mean screamers of sort. So yea, due to words not translating well in this case, you would have to know danish to actually understand it. Also the company that advertises this, is a construction firm, that also helps answering questions related to that topic.
