I like Chael's responses..... You guys saying he shouldn't be reacting this way after a loss and should be more devastated have to understand that both of these men are legends, whose careers are basically over....You have a well past his prime legend competing at a weight class he doesn't belong in, against the greatest heavyweight of all time who should have retired 5 years ago...... They are both not fighting or training with the same hunger as someone who is still making a name for themselves. Both of them combined have about 4 DECADES worth of professional fighting experience...... It's more for the love of the sport now than it is to go out there and try to prove yourself...... They aren't fighting for your affection or money anymore, put it that way.... I think Chael's response to all these questions was perfect. Stylistically, Fedor was just a horrible match up for Chael, that's all.....

He may not be the best, but nobody can deny that he has fought the best..... You don't have to beat the best to be a legend in the sport.... You just have to have had a major impact to some degree. Note: Aside from Tito back in the day, Chael was the first guy to take trash talking to the next level and understand marketing. Conor is not just a fighter, he's a product..... Yeah, I liked the part where he made sure to throw nothing when he was on top, forfeited the position, then turtled from a glancing blow despite clearly demonstrating 2 minutes earlier that he could easily recover from a very fresh Fedor shot. He just turtled despite 90 percent of Fedor's gnp landing on his forearms. It's like he said on his podcast, in Japan the other guy wouldn't know you were going to throw the fight.
@chrismalinowski6546 жыл бұрын
SASE - you're very worked up over this aren't you? Fedor was controlling chaels posture while he was in half guard, that's why there was no GnP. He did give up position but you're in the middle of a fight with thousands of people watching you sometimes you do things in the moment that made sense at the time that you can't explain later. Chael didnt throw the fight calm down

Not fixed.. The first punch that Fedor landed gave Chael a minor concussion, he's still in la la land and still doesn't even really know what happened. After that first punch landed Chael was fighting like alice in wonderland man
@liamsavage14686 жыл бұрын
Chael didn't see any of the punches, because the first one he didn't see and it definitely stunned him for the rest of the fight. Fedor hits like a bear. But his head movement and body angles are very good too, the way he switches his head position when he throws his left and right his head is in to very different positions and he's coming in at very excellent angles. Most people think fedor is just throwing crazy swings but his boxing is very very good he is very aware of how to throw a punch and to know where his opponents punches will be coming in at the same time.
@liamsavage14686 жыл бұрын
also yes chael looked very strange in this fight but he was also fighting practically blacked out. As in he was just using instincts guarantee he got a minor concussion. Even in the interview you can sense that something is off with him like he's still in sort of shock. He should definitely not be fighting anymore don't want to see him get brain damage man.

I believe he tried to flip over and drag Fedor with him, so essentially Fedor would be on his back on top of Chael, potential for a deep rear naked mid transition or roll into an armbar might've been too high though

Chael threw that fight, tell me you guys saw him, one of the best wrestlers in mma, literally lose dominant positions on purpose? At one point he litrrally threw himself onto his back during a single leg attempt; also he LITERALLY threw himself forward from having fedor's back at RNC position? Wtf is going on?
