Oscar should and would win with ease in his prime, but I do think Oscar's current age and state of being after a lifetime of substance issues would actually be significant. Oscar is probably a shell of his former self at this point, GSP has likely stayed in shape while continuing to train and learn all while staying disciplined. Oscar of yester year should win, but today? Not sure.

His reactions, his timing, his accuracy, his speed, etc are likely just not the same anymore even if he has that high level boxing experience. His last fight was 13 years ago when he got finished by Pacman and he's probably done nothing but sit on the couch getting drunk and stoned all day that entire time as he's aged to 50. So I double all of those things like timing, reaction, accuracy, etc are still there. GSP is not some high level boxer and in theory he should lose, but i'm not very confident in Oscar in today's times.

Two guys, outside of their prime, only difference is 1 specializes in boxing and the other doesn't. If I was a betting man, I'd put the house on Oscar. But, hey, you never know. If you sign a contract for 10 years, then you signed a contract for 10 years. Or if you owe them 5 fights etc. Contracts can & definitely do take advantage of up & coming entertainers/artist for sure and should be illegal some of them(360 for sure). But at George’s age and being a star for a decade with money & a great legal team he wasn’t taken advantage, and so he should be held to a written bond he signed. He gave Dana his word he’d fight someone after Bisping but then vacated the belt almost immediately and that pissed the big man off for sure.

GSP, also has a size and reach advantage on De La Hoya, as well as the cardio advantage. Not against boxers of course but GSP, has also faced heavy handed fighters. With GSP's, karate background he's great at distance, lunging in and out. With all of that plus all that you said, yeah I believe if the 2 fought GSP, would win that match up.

GSP struggled to get down to 170 5 years ago. It makes ZERO SENSE to force either of them to worry about cutting weight! Instead, let them focus on honing their skills and be at their full strengths! Have them as the main event and throw a couple title fights under them. Dana could easily sell out any arena in the world! Personally, it should probably be at the Dallas Cowboys dome!
