I totally agree that blackpink's performances are boring af. Coming from a blink whose been with them for a long time, their choreography and stage performances are not full of charisma. YG artists tend to run around the stage when they are perfoming and it causes everyone to feel somewhat hyped or excited, but when I see Blackpink's performances I don't get that vibe in them. I guess they haven't been trained enough to be more energetic and generally having a good time on stage. And I put the blame on YG himself

I don't think all of their performances are boring, but there are definitely some that are... last year's AIIYL performances had maybe one or two good ones, but at some point you could see them give up on the song, and they had no energy at all in award shows - where as in 2016 their award show performances were really good - (SBS Gayodaejun, Seoul Music Awards). One thing I've noticed about Blackpink is that they seem to take a while to get into their performances??? like with DDDD the first two performances were weak, but they got gradually better (forever young's were weak tho) I agree with you that they don't yet have the vibe of just owning the stage, but like OP said they can do it in their dance practices and stuff, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of time until we get to see that spark. I saw it a bit this comeback with Lisoo, but other than that not really.

ME TOO!! Their potential is above every other girl group I've seen because they have the most potential to branch out outside of Korea. Not only that, each member has crazy potential as soloist doing their own thing too. Unlike other groups Blackpink is one of the only 3rd gen groups who have members that are just as interesting and influential alone as they are as a group, they trend all by themselves all the time. And I mean ALL of the members if given the right opportunities will become famous world wide. That's why they are the main ones in YG being compared to Bigbang, their sales are great but the members individual power is also incredible.

1. Not overrated just overhyped they didn’t release a lot of songs and that’s YG fault. This might be a little harsh but every group from the big3 are overrated and overhyped, yes they do work hard, but it seems that whatever bp, twice, red velvet put out, it will always be good to the public because they’re from the biggest companies. I know it took twice and red velvet a while to get their first win, but you can’t deny, the big3 ggs reason why they manage to stay on top is because everything will be considered a bop because of their name brand. I always forget that since they were in a hiatus they're still rookies, and even though I never bash them myself, I feel super bad for them cause everybody is throwing so much hate, that they don't deserve. I agree with this. In my opinion, there's really nothing special with as if it's your last as a song but it's one my favorite song by BP because I think it is the the song that really fits them as a group. The song is not too badass but not too bright at the same time, there's balance. With their song Boombayah and Whistle which is more on the badass side, Rose and Jisoo gets overshadowed by Jennie and Lisa but with it's as if it's your last, no one gets overshadowed. Everyone gets to shine in the mv too. Song and mv wise, the best title track of BP is Stay and AIIYL. Just my opinion as a non blink.

I hate it when people have such high expectations of blackpink when it's only their first comeback, it's because they're so popular, but they're not perfect and shouldn't be so heavily criticised when they have less than 10 original songs, they don't even have a full album yet. People seem to blame the girls when it's their company that makes the final decision.

Agreed. MR videos do no justice to an idol's vocal ability. Bad stability while dancing is NEVER EQUAL to bad singing or no talent. Like what fool thinks or judges a vocalist on base of this. Slightly some of my unpopular opinions: 1. Jisoo and Lisa are the only ones who I see have a charismatic stage presence. But this doesn't mean I hate Rose and Jennie, but I noticed their stage presence now is much more weaker compared to their debut. 2. Rose has a unique voice, but I personally think YG is kinda pushing her vocals. It's becoming nasal and it might damage her voice if she forces it. 3. AIIYL and Whistle concept suited them better. I find it amusingly weird, but for me 'as if it's your last' was their best comeback even though it was only a gift for blinks. 4. Blackpink House was disappointing. Now before all of you come up to me, I just wanna say I enjoyed watching it especially those funny moments, but I think their aegyo are scripted and forced. 5. Jisoo needs more lines to showcase her vocals. Lately we've only gotten to see a few of her vocals during square up. And I find it very disappointing. She's a lead vocalist, not a sub- vocalist YG! 6. See U Later was their best track from square up although I find some parts of the song off- key like the 'see u later boy' part. It just sounds weird.

I think people started calling them “overrated” because they are already one of the *biggest kpop groups* with only 9 songs and *1 mini album* And honestly its like somewhat true but then *Not every artist could do something like that* so yeah TALENT! And the “big three privilege” is a bit over the top. I thinks its more of a “big three advantage” because the company is already well known but that doesn’t mean they have the assurance that the Idol will be successful. Just an example : *If the big three privilege really exists* then why isn’t Ikon as successful as BP internationally. The company just gives a boost to their career as an Idol.(this just my opinion)

She was, but no matter how good a person is there is always room for improvement. And anyone can see the HUGE improvement of jisoo. 1. BLACKPINK are the embodiment of charisma, the fact that the Choreography doesn't allow them to showcase what comes naturally to them isn't their fault. I also don't think they could ever really be boring, they can stand around staring at a wall and still be entertaining. Their stages might have been disappointing compared to our expectations but it was far from the worst show I've ever seen so I'll cut them some slack. 2. BLACKPINK deserve the hype, maybe they are not the best out there YET, but they are arguably the most dynamic group of girls to be paired together in KPOP history because of their unique backgrounds and perspectives. Not one of them is similar to the other, they are all incredibly unique and that is one of the main reason people STAY interested, nothing about BLACKPINK is common, and they suit their name perfectly because they aren't just pretty packaging, they are talented, and one of a kind. I don't quite agree with some your opinions. But it's your opinion not mine. I understand where you're getting at though, but I've been a fan of them for quite a while and I do not think they're boring. I just think fans are impatient. YG uses this technique that makes people wait for a certain artist to make a come back (e.g Taylor Swift- everyone thought she just disappeared after not releasing music for THREE years but suddenly drops her Reputation album and everyone was basically in surprise and in a hurry to buy it, Ariana Grande with her album Sweetener too). Its for higher sales and profit and YG's doing the same with BP. I think they're choreography is awesome but they tend to mess up live on stage. I don't think that BP wont be famous without YG (or the so called Big 3 privilege) because I did some research and most of the sponsorships that they're receiving came from the girl's families themselves (more like Jennie's family to be exact) so YG or not YG, I think they'll be successful either way. Also, I've been a 2ne1 fan but PLEASE DON'T compare them to Blank pink. LIKE I JUST DON'T SEE IT AT ALL. I agree. If people can't see that Blackpink does not have as much stage presence as, say, 2ne1 or Bigbang, they're biased. Blackpink has okay stage presence (especially their debut stage, they seemed the most motivated then, as opposed to now, when these poor girls are stuck performing the same goddamn songs over and over again), but they're just not as powerful as 2ne1 or Bigbang. I'd honestly like to see Blackpink *not* doing choreography and rate their performance. I remember when YG used to have performances where the artists pretty much freely wandered the stage and interacted with the fans, and they still had me absolutely deceased with their amazing stage presence.

I think with BlackPink is that they don’t have enough practice. They don’t get enough songs and dances so they have to practice for their own and when you don’t do a thing frequently overtime you forget how to do it. It may sound dumb, but it’s true. Also I was kinda dissatisfied at Lisa’s dance at the concert. Don’t get me wrong it was cool, but it’s a dance that any main dancer could perform. I wanted to see a YG main dancer Lalisa. Unpopular oppinion: i appreciate blackpink ddu du ddu du choreography. U say it was bad. But i just wanna tell u, imma dancer and i practice DDDD almost everytime. And the point of the dance is u have to do a powerfull and smooth movement with a perfect ballance. It wasn't bad in my oppinion, cuz when the shoot choreography was come it give a unique vibes.
