I am happy you talked about Euphoria and didn't do the same commentary that everyone else does . I will never forget how they wrote off the only black male main character on Euphoria after being sa'ed during the first season like wth. he went thru all of that only to pop up looking for Cassie at a damn party then pfff gone for the rest of 2nd season 😂. From there, I knew the writing was going even more down hill. Then, you have the nerve to give a main role to this random person Elliot to rectify and cover-up the fact you have no black or Asian characters- literally all the poc on the show are biracial (a thing Hollywood has been in love with, trying to depict, and this point fet***** since the 70's on The Jeffersons) And DON'T get me started on Cal (Nate's Dad) getting as much screen time as he got, which was there just make you feel bad and rebuttal all of Nate's behavior. But I didn't fall for it. We have to grow and change these writing rooms fr y'all .😢😂

Thank you, just thank you! I see barely anyone critizise the treatment of the poc's and specifically the darker skinned characters in Miraculous Ladybug. France and specifically paris is very diverse. Its just so messed up to me that there are no Asian (and up until season 3 no Women) writers in a show that has so many asian influences. Also Alya not getting her own story and only being there to be Marinette supportive system is so bad. Especially season 5 was bad with that. Like we never see Alya complain about her stuff to Marinette. Its always Alya who has to listen to Marinettes BS. She has to be the supportive understanding friend. But once Alya would act out Like Mari did, I bet you the fandom woudn't defend her as they are doing with Marinette. Btw. I don't hate Marinette, I just hate how she is written sometimes xd. Thomas doesn't accept any critisism and therefore will never evolve in his writing.

A very important video!! I agreed with all point made. Miraculous, Euphoria, and The Powerpuff Girls have/had issues with writing and had problematic portrayals on characters of color. I will never forgive Astruc on Master Fu's character. This writer's strike truly made me think of how screenwriters need to be paid well so that they can be motivated to be creative and hopefully write better as well. I believe a lot of good will come of this. I remember when Harper Collins Publishers Union (HCP Union), a union that represents 1 of 5 major publishing houses, went on strike for more than 60 days (November 2022 - February 2023). It was a long fight, but they got a new contract for better wages, employment, and diversity for the staff. Unfortunately, I don't see the film industry giving WGA what they want within 60 days. I predict it will take several months (🤞🏾hoping to be wrong here!) before those writers can go back to the writer's room. Nonetheless, great video as always and hoping for improvement from the film industry. 🤞🏾💚

I have a love of craig McCrakens & Laurens work since I was a kid and while I can say their stuff has gotten better with diversity over the years but rewatching PPG (& TBH A LOT OF shows from when I was a kid ) as an adult is so cringe worthy at times cause I know theres gonna be so many character designs that aren't actually character designs but just racist portrayals of POC
