Hellwalker or is it flesh n metal

Hellwalker was the song that used this technique most prominently. Flesh and Metal used a different technique where the guitars were recorded at double speed an octave up, then slowed down to half speed

@nathanstachowiak75442 жыл бұрын
@@LordofDiamondsMetal Idk if it's a full song you wrote, or just a riff, but I'd love to hear the full thing (with and without the chainsaw effect would be even better). It would be a good exercise for people getting into audio engineering at home-- take your own chainsaw or engine sound sample, and see if you can reproduce the effect on your non-chainsaw track.
@LordofDiamondsMetal2 жыл бұрын
@@nathanstachowiak7544 Mmm... I don't think it sounds that similar, aside from the superficial low tuning. it's not as percussive as modern Doom riffs are and has more notes in it. but I'm glad you liked it anyway

I'm not sure what software you use, but in Live, it's as simple as putting Morph on the bass track and setting the chainsaw track's output to go to "Morph Input" or something rather than the master track
