I am pretty sure you have the little pump diaphragm with the two non return flaps positioned incorrectly it should be in contact with the smooth plastic spacer so the flaps make a good seal and the gasket should be against the metal cover as it is only a casting with no smooth machined surfaces. Check ZAMA exploded diagram on website for confirmation.

Nope! The fuel inlet is on the metal part, check at 3:09 when I took it apart. If the gasket was on the metal part, fuel would pour into the carb with no cut off mechanism.

davekennedy52 I have worked on many of these carburettors all of which are as I have stated .You can view many more identical carb strip down and rebuild on all of which have the pump diaphragm against the plastic manifold.Check ZAMA exploded schematic for yourself.I am aware you built it back together as you found it unknowing it was incorrect.

@@hollows61 that's interesting it ran? Makes me want to go out and switch them on my Husqvarna 235 x torq see if it will also run because I know the gasket goes against the ribs on the aluminum plate and the Reed check valve membrane goes against your plastic in every one I've ever took apart. Still a great video for folks who are afraid to work on these.

In English its called a splined carburetor adjustment screwdriver. I think all Amazons have them. The make is Huri and costs about 6 Euro
