Thanks! I thought I would have to replace the recoil spring but your video showed me how to fix the excess length and now it is better than ever.

Thank you mine kept getting wrapped around a part it's not supposed to be wrapped around and causing the engine to stall. Now I've just got to order and change the sprocket on it.

I have similar problem happen to me today. I was going to start it and I pulled on the rope and it didn't start so I pulled again and the rope just stopped halfway through the pull. And now it doesn't go in or out and I can't pull on it to turn the engine. How can I fix this?
