Chakma/Hajong are setteled by Union Govt. of India in 1964. In that time there were no Country by name of Bangladesh , nor there were any state like Arunachal Pradesh. But the motivated people used to name them BANGLADESHI, which is not correct. And chakma/Hajong are not infiltrator . . . they are victim of Religous Persecution.

@King Lomkar first of all why are you asking me this question? Is there any logic. I have written in response to one comment that there is no such law which restrict tribal people from living/owning land in the areas of general category people. However, there exist a law particularly in protected area like Arunachal where General Category people cannot owned a land or live there permanently. That why I wrote what ever he wrote is not applicable as per constitutional rule. And I don't find any logic behind your question, "why refugee is still here".

It's a very complicated conditions for both the State Government as well as for the Ruling Party BJP in the Central Government. The only 2 options lie before both the State Government and Ruling Party BJP in the Central Government is:- 1.) Either to recognise Chakma Hajong as Indian Citizen and give them their rights in Arunachal Pradesh. 2.) To fight back and give back the Chakma Hajong's their motherland in the East Pakistan aka Bangladesh which will ultimately escalate to War with Bangladesh, as Bangladesh is now populated with Muslim Majority Community now. Also the West Pakistan will also once again take the opportunity to unite the Muslims of East Pakistan and provoke them against India there by setting their terrorists and sleeper cells centre in Bangladesh creating more troublesome for the border States of India.

I would like to say that we are Chakma's - Hajong's also human beings and being a human beings we needs shelter to protect our life's in a peaceful way. I can understand very well, under what circumstances Chakma and Hajong might be living. But... The way Chakma and Hajong is using religious card is not at all appreciable and it is like setting fire in dry jungle. Further, even if we grant citizenship to Chakma and Hajong, what is guarantee that Chakma and Hajong will not help bringing their people living outside country and state, for till date we never heard any Chakma and Hajong raising issue of Arunachal Chakma and outside Chakma. Therefore, Chakma and Hajong may be granted citizenship by Indian Government but Arunachal people will never accept Chakma and Hajong as tribal community of Arunachal. And as per BEFR no outsiders other than tribals of Arunachal can owned land within the territory of Arunachal. This is purely my personal perception representing non.

I understand your sentiment and feeling but some of them were taken individual the CH issues and those people are playing such and such politics. I believe in the state of the top most leaders as well as the others tribes of Arunachal indigenous people. Many of you are well knows how to solve the CH problem but somehow is difficult to decide a single political party because of it is full of contradictory. Anyway, I would like to shares in my opinion if government intend to solve CH problem once for all then State government must take cabinet decision under the constitutional law and decide about CH people's whether the state government accept or not, if yes or not then how government will solve this matter, either the govt allotted Autonomous District Council or territory so that Arunachal indigenous people would no harms and I appeals to all the NGO'o , Political party leaders should cooperate with the government so that problem can be solve in a maturity without any delay. Do you know the real definition of tribal,those backward people who have their distinct culture and tradition are called tribal.In this sense chakma and Hajong has also their distinct culture and tradition so in this sense Chakma and Hajong are also tribal.More over Hajong are already enjoying tribal status in the state of Assam and Meghalaya,and Chakma are enjoying tribal status in the states of Assam,Tripura and Mizoram then why not in Arunachal Pradesh.Moreover you should study the constitution of India where it was written Chakma and Hajong are indigenous tribe of india.
