I found your channel yesterday and I am watching it non stop becausebI love it. Your garden is looking good. I am so glad your mom is there to support and help you with all the challenges. I also watch Make.Do.Grow YT channel. I've learned a lot about gardening and how to get rid of weed in your garden. I am not sure in witch part of Portugal they are but they also bought an old farm house which the are busy with. I enjoy every minute watching your video s. Lots of love for all of you. 🖐️Stop there, let Simon do all of the stone layering of the house walls. You & hubby do the cement mixing and bucket passing to Simon. A great place to practice stone layering are the driveway & surrounding outside stone walls all around your property's line. Not to any houses.

I’m sorry, but I tend to agree, it’s best to leave the house walls to Simon, and you and Omar can work on your skills on the garden walls.

I can really feel the love in this video! I dont exactly know what it is but something about this video is different. Your videos are always so calm and relaxing to see the progress and follow your journey but this video in particular is so well put together. The Music, the different parts in progress, the Text and you showing some struggles on the way. As I said your videos bevor were already amazing but this was my favorite video so far I think you can see the progress developing the skill with making these videos. I´m sending lots of love from Germany and am so excited for the next video. Your channel is a relaxing savespace for me and I love every time I come back to your videos.

Here in Ireland I’ve seen builders use metal ties embedded in the ordinary block work to reinforce and tie in the stone cladding to the blocks. Obviously you’re using a different method there and it looks beautiful.

That was fun! Thanks for bringing us along as you began your beautiful natural stone cladding! You did so well! The only, and very slight difference I could see between yours and Simon's, is that he placed more very small stones between the larger ones in all the gaps. But Well Done!!! Your salad looked soooo delicious, I hope to try it as well! Interestingly, in watching you as listening to you speak, I always think of "Da Jungle Boy" who, along with his sweet girl "Freddie" are currently building a place down in Panama. Seriously, you two could be long lost siblings! When I watch and listen to him, I think of you, when I watch and listen to you, I think of him! Just KZbin Da Jungle Boy and see what you think! Perhaps you won't think so at all, and that's fine, I'll still very much enjoy watching you both! Looking forward to seeing the further progress! What a difference since tearing the old buildings down! I'm the one who suggested that you turn the lid up-side down on your big pot when you built your kitchen drawers, so it would fit when you shut it! Did that work for you? Take care! Thankful you are all feeling a better! Greetings again from WallaWalla, Washington, USA!

Hey Mary Thank you for your comment! Yes, I have been watching him more closely and he does place a lot more smaller stones also flatter stones on top as well and fewer square-ish stones. Im having a break from it as I have other work to do but Im about to start again! I think Im just nervous about it! Omar and I keep on sayign we are going to put a large pot plant in front of our wall haha. Im familiar with Da Jungle Boy and Im flattered thank you. They make great content and he is a very nice guy. I have indeed place the pot lid upside down and it fits! So thanks for that :)

Strimming is one of those annoying jobs that comes with the needed rain. If only we could direct where we wanted the rain to land! You might try a schmeer of silicone around your drip connections. I've seen that suggested as a way to stop leaks. I think your wall looks really good for a first time. It's much better than I could do. Blessed Be!

I don’t know the cost in your area but in my area compostable plant pots are very affordable and I like them for the final potting for my seedlings as then instead of disturbing the roots I just plant the entire pot.
@4grabbar7 ай бұрын
About the size of plants and when to plant them outside. A smaller plant is often better because they get sturdy in the open air. They tend to be more compact later on and a taller plant can be more vulnerable in the wind. Most important is to protect plants from strong sunshine if you have grown them inside , they easily get sunburnt if you dont get them used to sunshine. To plant them outdoors when you are expecting cloudy weather for a couple of days is a good thing.
@TheIndigoEscape7 ай бұрын
That makes sense too! I will try to take them all out asap. It's just that the weather has been so temperamental, I like to cocoon them a bit like babies. haha I planted a cosmos yesterday that was quite tall and thin and I held my breath the hold day.

You guys are not putting any protection again between rocks and blocks? Aren’t you going to have the same infiltration problem as your mum’s cottage? Simon is awesome ❤
@TheIndigoEscape7 ай бұрын
We have the damp proof membrane underneath the blocks but other than that it doesn't need it. My mums room problem is due to the walls being 55cm of pure stone... so they need to "breath" but they are also a massive pain hence why people just end up tanking the walls on the inside which we are probably looking into that for the future. At the moment whats helping my mums rooms is lots of ventilation and a dehumidifier.

@@TheIndigoEscape This is her response to me (No, I live in Benalmadena). I understand big lunch and light dinner. When I work outside in the heat or I get hot, I usually just stay well hydrated, water, power-aid, tea(sweet tee). Then I usually slow down about sundown. Have my outdoor shower because the water feels so good. I dry off on my porch in front of my fan and ceiling fan. Then go inside get a little something like a piece of fruit, applesauce, ice cream haha, cause I'm still sweating. It takes me about 2 hrs after my shower to quit sweating!!! It's terrible! I don't even blow dry my hair because all I'm doing is making my head sweat more and trying to dry SWEAT!!!! That's why I were shorts tank tops hat and I have a hand towel to wipe the sweat, all day long. But I keep drinking water so I don't hurt my kidneys. You have to make sure about that or I get kidney stone. I had one!!! And that's the ONLY BABY I PLAN TO HAVE!!! LO.
