@Legendary Motorcar Company What primer do you apply for the very first coat on the bare steel? Does it have to be rust proof primer or some special type because the steel is old?...Finally if you were spraying a brand new steel panel and that was down to bare metal would you use exactly the same product for old and new steel when priming to prevent rust coming through? I've never known exactly what product to apply,i've heard of etch primer, zinc primer, red oxide primer, epoxy primer but i don't know exactly what is the best to use on bare metal, please can you tell me what primer it is for old and new panels

To protect use gibbs. You gotta give metal a clean with alcohol or thinner. If you have rust use Ospho. It's a rust converter, and will stop from ever rusting again. Use epoxy, 2 part primer. you can buy in a aerosol can now but it's primer and a catalyst. So 2 parts. Some primers need sanded before paint. Shoot epoxy, spray guide coat of cheap flat black paid to sand and find imperfections that need fixed. Do that then seal with another coat of epoxy. Apply urethane primer. Sand smooth and paint. Ospho is used in Marine industry to keep rust away. It has to have Flash or surface to work. Can't put on bare metal.

I don't believe this Rolic wheel will remove oil from finger prints, but smear it around. A proper body wash and wipe would remove the oil.
