I think your fender was peeling back because it was overstretched and not post heated. You can apply multiple layers of ceramic coating to make a bit of a seal and also protect it from scratches and stuff. Great vid as always!

Again CC, Great job on the video mate. Good to know the abuses you put the vinyl through, that it still holds up. AND if it ever were to, you have an actual paint job under it, and if you ever wanted to, you could just wrap it again in something different. Props mate, these 2 videos have gotten me to subscribe. ESPECIALLY since i love the DSOJ MASTER OF TORQUE. Cheers and ride safe.

I love my bike colour so I've wrapped with transparent film ( I have lots of fairing 😂) which also protects the paint, so far so good for me, almost 6 months, no problem. But I use the pressure water hose far from the bike...

What I've learned since i wrapped my 110ccc with chrome and other colors, is KEEP IT COVERED. I wrapped a post for decoration and it has always been indoors and still looks good as the day i wraped it. But on my 110cc left out in the elements, has cracked and faded immensity after years outdoors.

To avoid gas from dripping onto the tank, have papertowel in your hand ready to catch the dripping gas as soon as you pull the nozzle out.

Tilt the nozzle up when you've finished... That way the drops go back up the nozzle. I do a tilt and then twist it (like a waiter pouring wine). Don't move the nozzle over the tank until you're sure it's not able to drip. But yes I have done it in the past and it p!ssed me off.

I just wrapped my motorcycle as well. Since it didn't wanted to buy a heatgun for a one-time project, I used my old hairdryer. The heat ist not as concentrated on a spot, but it still worked flawlessly. Hope the wrap stays healthy over time, since it was an absolute nightmare to put on

The only bleaching I've experienced was on transparent wraps. I had red-tint wrap on some chrome taillights that turned pink after a summer. It was a low quality vinyl from a non-reputable Amazon source (rhymes with "livid"), so your results might differ. No problems with opaque wraps!

I’ve seen tanks and fenders wrapped using one single piece with no seams. Also, I twist thr fuel nozzle so that the end tips up while its still over hole so that it doesnt drip onto my tank.

Hey man, you made a great video but the wrap doesnt as bad as you say. I living with wrap on my car any my motocycle too over 1-2 years and i have no problem. The peelings on the video are technical problems, clearly show you didnt made postheat, especially 3M reacts hard to sun if not heated after lay down. Sun made it shrink back because there was a lot of tension and memory effect turned on, also the gas tank have too much wrinkles when you use that squegee to lay down. You should create glass first before you push it down to avoid peelings. Motocycle wrap is the hardest, need a lot knowledge about wrapping and materials before you make it. And gas doesnt burn the wrap even if you dont clean it for days, just bird drops burning it but still doing more damage on paint. Im not critical, just say why your wrap failed that way, do it again, take a lot time to watch videos, and be a lot happier with your next wrap, or take it to a professional and youll see wrap isnt that bad and not that stressful. Cheers

Lol "ride of shame" Wuuuuut!? Me and my poor bike are always covered in petrol; shoes, tank, seat... gloves... whatever. Hahaha I've honestly never even considered a few drips of fuel to be an issue... but then again I ride the kind of motorcycle I don't mind crashing on occasion. My bike spends equal time on dirt and ditches as pavement and I have to pick it up once a week anyway. But, still.... I never thought people cared that much. I always thought those little petrol bibs were crazy and thought "who would actually buy this?" Now I know who... hahaha

Dude, you just keep a glove under the gasoline knob when you take it out of the tank. You won't miss a drop. You can also sit on the motorcycle and straighten it when you fill the tank, more gas enters.

All the electrical connectors on modern bikes are sealed with dielectric grease and designed with liquid contact in mind. Be more concerned about not getting water in your tail pipe. Get a plug for it and you'll be fine
