for the first time in my entire eating disorder I'm actually starting to believe that people don't look their best at their thinnest but when they're at a point where they have freedom and self-appreciation. I've been anorexic for over 3 years now and I'm terrified of losing the body that makes me feel safe and sick but I'm also curious to see the potential my life has when I take care of my body without keeping myself small

Hi Kailin. I ALMOST got hospitalized a few days ago (an*rexia). I really wanted to go to the hospital thinking they'd help but I realized the hospitals in Poland just give you more trauma and mental issues than before you went there. So I decided to fight at home. Luckily my blood test results are just fine so there is nothing to worry about. Your videos always helped me when I was struggling to eat so I'm here now watching you hoping things will get better. Kisses from Poland xx

the section where you were talking about it and mentioned chrinoc illness really resoniated with me as someone who was losing weight in a healthy way. then out of no where got extremely sick and lost 75lbs and ended up being 105lbs only to find out a few months later when i passed out i had undiagnosed type 1 diabetes and ended up in the hospital all summer. I really appreciate your view on everything.

This was such a great video for me to watch right now, as an older woman, I'm 58 and I have been dieting before I even knew what it was. My mother fed me carrots sticks and cottage cheese at age 4. I cry when I think about how that messed me up from almost the start of my life. I loved my mother so much but she was always talking about her weight, she was always dieting and it was just the norm for me. Finding you has literally changed everything for me, I do still fall back into it once in a while but I quickly snap out of it. Age is just a number and you can still learn new things and take back your life. Thank-you so much sweetie for being here and helping us kick diets into the trash where they all belong. Also I'm going to make myself a cheese and onion pizza today, mmm can't wait.

this video just absolutely made my day. I've been working really hard for about a year and a half to break all my diet culture habits and intuitively eat. it's been a rough journey and it fluctuates every day. recently i discovered i gained weight (why did my dumbass check the scale), and it made me question what i was doing to be healthy. thank you for the reminder that eating intuitively and breaking these food rules is okay, you're an angel. maybe I'll break one of my lingering rules today.

Thanks so much for this video 🥰 it is really helpful and healing. You're always managing somehow to really say the important things and repeat it again and again (which is absolutely necessary to really internalize this and change the diet culture thoughts)! Also there are a lot of videos out there "challenging fear foods" but in the end people often decide not to really challenge the fears. For example they make the same pizza that you made but they use light cheese. In my opinion those videos backfire 😅 So thank you for really challenging diet culture and showing us that it's fine and healthy to be happy and enjoy food without unhealthy restriction or food rules 🤗

Honestly I absolutely adore your what I eat videos. There are some of the few that I can look at that isn't spewing diet culture. Like I do not understand why it's so hard to just find someone eating food normally that isn't of Asian descent on this platform. Well I personally track because my food intake is affected by my illness and I need to see the fluctuations, I do love the reminders that people do eat normally. Honestly I washed a lot of your videos when I first started tracking because I was so scared of going back to what I used to do ( track down to like a bit 600 Cal through working out way too much still having trouble working out now from all that nonsense) but you and watching a few other creators like Jen really helped. Now if only I can find some creators who make what I eat in a day videos that eat food that I can easily find an American grocery store without all the diet culture nonsense lol

I didn't drink dairy milk for at least a decade, since recovery 4 years ago all I drink is whole fat dairy milk, I could never go back haha. Not just that it tastes better, there are tons of health benefits to whole fat dairy milk! Coming from ED's, there's usually a lot of dehydration involved. Dairy milk is extremely hydrating.

Absolutely, tastes delicious. Dairy is constantly bashed and it’s so irritating to me. The point of your video is to eat what feels and tastes good, I totally get that and agree! I just want to point out that there are a lot of health benefits to all these demonized foods as well. Absolutely any food can be healthy for you depending on what your body needs at that time!

It’s funny, because where I live, I grew up eating what’s considered “dinner food” in a lot of western countries for lunch, so eating “lunch food” for dinner used to be a hard diet culture rule to break for me! This just proves that there is no universal way you should eat💗We’re all different and we all crave different things at different times - just learn to listen to your own body and satisfy your own needs💗

Love these sort of videos❤ they've always helped me when I was struggling... I also want to bring attention to the fact that eating a whole pizza is just the norm in Italy. For men AND women. All the people I know here eat pizza at least once a week (it's like a weekend tradition... because who wants to cook Sunday night?). And *despite* all of this, the longevity rate is one of the highest in Europe. Ops, sorry about the rant 😂 thanks for the video😘

How do u navigate recovery with 0 hunger and no appetite and constant fullness. and don't say it gets better with time as since starting recovery in October my appetite and hunger has got progressively worse and worse to the point i haven't felt a shred of hunger in about a month. i know i should eat but i find it so unenjoyable and it feels 'wrong' as physically my body doesn't want any food and it just keeps getting worse :(?
@healwithkailin6 ай бұрын
Mechanical eating was the only way for me to “wake” my hunger back up. You might not feel hungry but that doesn’t mean your body isn’t desperate for food! I have a video about this - a month in terms of recovery is not very long and it doesn’t surprise me that you aren’t feeling hunger.
@Natnat9946 ай бұрын
I agree with Kailin, it's okay to eat "mechanically" even though you may not find it enjoyable. In fact, you may have to. Leptin, "the hunger hormone," signals your brain to alert you that you're hungry and your body needs/wants food. But, the less fat you have on your body, the less of this hunger hormone you will have (because leptin is found in fat cells). So, in theory, the more weight you successfully put on, the more likely your leptin levels will normalize and you will restore your normal hunger cues. You can google more about leptin if you'd like more info. :)
