Tremendous, well done and how lucky to be able to obtain spares for this model. Took a Jaeger 7 jewel car clock out of my brothers 1938 Fiat 500 Topolino in the early '60's. What a beautiful watch! I personally love the engineering, skill and thought that goes into putting a watch together. In particular with older watches, it amazes me that even without power tools back in the early days, they were able to create accurate, delicate wheels, pinions a springs that all come together to create a small piece of history that, with care and maintenance, can be passed down through the generations. Art and Engineering working together perfectly, all while the wearer has probably never seen the inside where the magic and fantastic craftsmanship takes place! If that poor Jaeger was ever serviced... it had to have been years and years ago by looking at the plate wear. Sometimes I think people don't realize that if something is mechanical, it requires service at some point... like a car (and these watches have a purchase price tag on par with a car). I'm happy we have modern synthetic oils that change services from what used to be 5-7 yr intervals to to 10-12+.
