By completely encasing the statue in resin are you not creating heat dissipation problems? Would it help if coils were in contact with aluminium plates instead?

Hi I have problem understanding circuits. Genuinely saw from start to finish still unable to understand what will turn in this thing to generating swap of currents thus power. I wanna ask you a thingy: wouldn't engraving both magnets and coils in a conductive plate and making the connected coils spin in front of magnets spinning the other way be more easy to accomplish ? ! ? ! Than adding layers of magnets and coils to increasing kw production? [Maybe I saw the second panel with magnets for a second..still I don't get why you cannot make panels of magnets spinning in opposite directions over the coils... it would creating more polarity exchange... no?...the fiber glass is for not creating short circuits? Could pure graphite substituting the coils? I have so many questions and no one to answer]

How can you calculate the voltage and the kilowatts for example if want to build a wind generator like 15,000 to 20,000 kilowatts, how do you calculate the voltage and kilowatts, please i want to know because i have been trying to build my one as well because i don't know the calculation of the voltage and kilowatts that is putting back.

72 coil turns for a 1kwh wind turbine, so if i need 20kwh coil i do 1440 turns, and a 10kwh 720 turns?I would like to know how you can determine how much kwh a stator can generate. thanks

Good video! Have you figured on a switch yet for Delta or Wye? thank for sharing😃
@RandomHacks8 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I really like your channel. My plan is to use relays and some kind of microcontroller to switch the configuration depending on the voltage/wind speed. I have two grid tie inverters that only accept up to 30v so I will use Wye by default and switch to Delta if the voltage exceeds 28v or so just to be safe. Not sure of how well this will work yet.

What's the weight of the stator? What's the weight of each disc of the rotor with bagnets and resin on it? And what's the total weight of the generator (the rotor and the stator)? Have you tested it yet? If you have, it'd be great to see the results!

I think if you add metal core in the center of the coils will work better, it will produce better flux.
@RandomHacks5 жыл бұрын
It would produce better flux but you also would get cogging which is a bad side effect. Thanks for commenting.

You best have some big ass blades for that thing if you want anywhere near 1kw, but fair play for trying I am in the same boat , good luck with your project , is it flying yet ?? cheers Gavin
@RandomHacks8 жыл бұрын
I think 1kw is reachable but I'm not sure either, there are so many factors involved ... It's the first wind turbine I'm building. It does not fly yet, I don't have much time to work on it unfortunately. Thanks for your comment, I will check out your channel.

Very nice work and well explained! But have you tried to put more magnets between the magnets you already have on the rotor to increase the magnetic field strength? You may get an increase of about 50% to 100% in magnetic field strength, which will result in increased voltage and power.
