Interesting fact: In one of the Generation X novels, Synch's own abilities allowed him to figure out that Chamber could have used his psionic powers to fix his mouth, throat, and chest if he so wanted and rather easily at that. But because Chamber was so depressed and nihilistic all the time, he wasn't focused enough to develop his abilities. Perhaps this mental state was the reason Synch never told his teammate about what he learned but I always thought that was a dick move because sharing the info could have saved Chamber a lot of pain in his life.

I've always love Chamber in Gen-X. He was like the Cyclops 2.0 of his generation. Instead of optic blast, he uses bio-blasts (Chest blasts).

I wanna say I remember Chamber having some kind of inherited, historical... familial connection to Apocalypse's Clan Akkaba. I think it was in _Apocalyose vs Dracula_ where back in the 1800s there was an ancestor of both his and Blink's that were key members of that group that were in charge of handling things for En Sabah Nur while he was in one of his classic, world famous slumbers. Whether or not that was canon to the 616 universe..? 🤷🏾‍♂️ I could also be wrong about some or all of that. It's been at about 15 years since I read it.

I’m pretty sure that you’re thinking about Cannonball aka Sam Guthrie of the New Mutants and X-Force. His family is descendants of the Clan Akkaba and he is an X-ternal. Which means he’s somewhat an immortal mutant.

That's funny. I always that that in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, that red-headed character (at 10:37) was Sean Cassidy/Banshee. The mouthplate was to prevent him from using his sonic scream. If that had been Chamber, he would've had a full upper torso prosthetic.
