This is Chambers: The Outlaw, a free to play "demo" of the upcoming game "Chambers". It's got an awesome art style and old school retro graphics similar to a PS1 game with awesome western style music. I hate it!

I thought the opposite; this game is pretty rad and a breath of fresh air lol You might have some valid criticisms but some of these complaints boil down to you not understanding some of the gameplay mechanics. I believe there's no crosshair because in the primary fire mode you are "shooting from the hip" and it makes sense that you kind of have to estimate your shot placement (other games have done this). That's why you can rapid fire in that fire mode (an old west trope of "emptying the cylinder", commonly seen in shootouts). These are old west revolvers and not meant to be extremely accurate. The alt fire uses the iron sights and it's pretty realistic how it takes a minute to steady yourself, honestly. Ever play any of the Brothers in Arms games? They used a similar weapon sway mechanic. And the white "crosshair" you refer to is also an integral gameplay mechanic - that appears right before the enemy fires at you. It is NOT supposed to be an indicator of where you're aiming. When you see the sparkle you can prepare to catch their bullet and throw it back at them. Use your whip! You can capture enemies. You can catch bullets. You can eat hats (and maybe more things) for health. And knowing this dev, probably a lot more than we haven't uncovered yet. Embrace the weirdness! Some of the design decisions are definitely intentional. Oh and the Shift button is a "dash/duck" type move, not a run or sprint or crouch. It gets you into and out of tight spots, and past enemies. Obviously the game is still a WIP so I can't speak to everything, and things like the AI that you mentioned are likely still being very much worked on, as well as numerous bugs. I first tried playing the game like a traditional FPS and had a pretty rough time; if you embrace more of the gameplay mechanics and start using some of the game's tools it becomes a lot more fun. I think it's very funny, different (a great thing in this age of crappy AAA games and endless remasters) and I'm looking forward to the full game. What might really blow your mind is that this game is from the same dev that made Golden Light. Chambers is EASILY the more approachable of the two, in my opinion. Golden Light is supposedly a great game and is rated very highly but if you want a real WTF experience, go play that sometime lol

You can catch bullets!? Wow, so this is like one of my major complaints is that the game doesn't really tell you anything. I had no idea this was even a thing. I had no idea what the crosshairs on the enemies were or so many other things. This REALLY needs a bit of a tutorial or on screen tips during the start. Games used to at least come with an instruction manual back in the day even if they didn't show anything in game. As for the whip, I used it and it doesn't pull anything. It does hit at a distance but it didn't do much else. It's possible that you played an updated version of the game? I noticed a patch since posting this and the gun actually doesn't swing all around anymore, it's much better now. As for the you not having a crosshair, why does the dev have one in the animated gifs on Steam? hahaha. The dev needed one and then took it away for us? That's what it seems like. I will actually still give the full release a try if they fix some of the problems in this. I love the look and sound of the game, it's mainly the gameplay and presentation that need work.
