Champion 1800/1400 watt generator sat for 8 months & No start.

Nice job of diagnosis and repair there Dave! I have the same generator, got it for free. Yeah, I overpaid. I think Champion is like the Yugo of generators. IIRC mine had no compression due to a blown head gasket. Did a video series on it some years back. I remember that stupid spark plug placement too, really dumb.

The guy that owns that generator just came back after a month in Mexico and says his genny is still running strong.

I’ve tore into things to learn before. You’re definitely not a parts changer. Looks like the sediment bowl had ethanol sheen. Take care.

I think you are correct on the ethenol buddy. He picked it up just a few hours ago and was very happy to get it back so soon. Thanks a ton for commenting Steve.
