Used it today! Needed the part about where the internal spring notch catches on the notch oart of the housing assembly... Then learned I can't turn more than 7 times without it popping off... Got everything assembled with the pull cord replaced with diamond cord kit and VOILA! Started right up! Bless You Brother 🙏👍

hey do you know if you can change the accelerator position from hip to tube? on the 9010.
@ZombieDaveAZ
@ZombieDaveAZ 18 күн бұрын
You sure can change it to tube throttle and no special pieces or parts needed. Find the tube throttle on Amazon or from the dealer (much more expensive) and you're in like Flint. Should be about $50. Good luck. 👍

how do you get to the muffler and the spartk arrestor on this unit?
@ZombieDaveAZ
@ZombieDaveAZ Ай бұрын
Hi Sherry, it's been a while since I did this video. If you remove the back cover plate and then gain access to the screws on the muffler, you should be able to remove it by taking it out towards the back of the machine. If memory serves me correctly the screws are a combination of a T25 torx bit and Blade screw driver. I hope this helps you. Good luck. ZD

How about same saw. Cutting with it perfectly. Ran out gas. Filled it up, now wont start. I noticed when pushing on primer bulb it would collaspe and excessively slow would fill back up. Like 6 seconds. I noticed air cleaner was lose. Can i blow air through primer line, or will this damage carb
@ZombieDaveAZ
@ZombieDaveAZ Ай бұрын
Hey Thomas. It actually sounds like slow flow to the carb. Start with fuel filter then the screen inside the carb. Prolly clogged partially a long the way. That's what I would do brother.

I’m glad that it worked out finally Super Dave. I wouldn’t have paid that much for an OEM coil. I haven’t had very good luck with aftermarket coils but I would keep ordering them until I got a good one to avoid getting bent over by Stihl for that much. I was the one who commented in the last video about different ignition curves and electronic timing advance within the module. Then it dawned on me that you said the module was for a BR 600 which is a 4-mix engine not a conventional 2 stroke. I’m surprised that it ran at all.

I’m not all that convinced that the flywheel on there is the correct one, since we already know someone’s been in there messing with this machine. I have another point that you touched on but skipped over - an air leak. You need to pressure/vacuum test this machine to confirm one way or the other. More importantly for me, you left out “Air” as a requirement for internal combustion engines in order to run. This includes, in my mind, not only intake and exhaust, but the integrity of the sealing of the engine against air incursion anywhere. I suspect, but cannot prove, that an air leak can affect timing. FACTS - Fuel, Air, Compression, Timing, Spark!!!

New coil is coming in today. I went with aftermarket after going to the dealer for the OEM coil it was $130 and there are actually 2 different parts #s depending on the serial number. I will be addressing all your points in the last video this weekend my friend. Thanks for the input my friend. 👍

I think the whole issue is with the BR 600 ignition module that you used. Mick’s Mowers did a recent video on an HS 45 Stihl trimmer that popped and backfired. It ended up being an aftermarket ignition module. Modern ignition coils advance and retard the timing. The BR 600 ignition module could have a completely different ignition curve electronically causing the backfiring. Try a correct OEM module.
@ZombieDaveAZ
@ZombieDaveAZ Ай бұрын
Thank you Thank you Andy. That's exactly the input I'm looking for. Going to order a new coil tomorrow. Thanks a million!!!

Could it slightly moved in shaft. Now piston timing is off. Might be wrong but think the two bolts are only things holding it in position.
@ZombieDaveAZ

That's the only thing I can think of because the fan came loose after the start up backfire. Yeah only 2 bolts hold it in place .

Wow, I have two ws2200 Craftsman same thing, the pin came out and destroyed one completely internally. While this was going on the piston walls on both were scored really bad . Your the only person that I found who address the problem. I did the same diagnosis that you did. One is a 2019,the other 2020. They both look brand new on the outside. I will never ever buy anything craftsman again.

I don't even know anything about fixing these problems and now I have a problem. I just bought a this model a couple days ago at Lowe's. The first day it ran great. I filled it twice with 50:1 premixed PowerCare mix. Last night I filled it a third time and now I can't start it. Today I have tried 4 times and still it would start. My other Craftsman is old and I was having problems starting that one so I figured I would buy a new one. This isn't normal for a brand new weedeater is it? If I can't get it running by tomorrow it's going back. Is there a better brand then Craftsman?

I am curious how the interaction of this effect would be when the throttle is more opened. I've seen some comments from guys saying if they have throttle half or full open when killing ignition, it won't backfire.
@ZombieDaveAZ
@ZombieDaveAZ Ай бұрын
Hello William, I'm thinking of a few scenarios where it prolly change much and perhaps even create the backfire on start up depending on how long it sets on the refire attempt. I've never tried leaving the throttle open or 1/2 open on shut down. I personally like to idle my machines for a bit to cool them down before shut off. Thanks for the great comment and Thanks for taking the time. 🍻
