When he said. "You can split quite a few cords fairly quickly" I about fell out of chair. I use the same spliter and maybe work a good bit faster than most and splitting a full cord is several hours of work. Remember, with the typical 16" lengths a full cord is three rows deep, 4 feet tall and 8 feet long. Often people think a "face cord" is a cord; that is one row deep and 4'X8'. In my younger days I would supply my Dad with full cords and that made an impressive wall of wood on his parking area. I think my platform may be mounted wrong as explained by another response. Don't forget your ear protection!

That small yellow rack on the operator side of the splitter is mounted incorrectly, which can result in the wood being trapped between it and the wedge, which can result in the wedge being crammed into the "C" channel on the other side of the beam and bending it. The assemblers are mounting the racks upside down, which gives it the up curve, but it should be flipped so the rack is level with the beam. Home Depot had to replace my splitter as a result of the "C" channel and the rack being bent.

Oh I see what you're talking about, I think as long the operator is conscious of how the log is moving this shouldn't be a problem, since the hydraulic can be reversed at any time

That table is a Great idea, I have a Champion 27 ton and, I have had a log pc. go off and hit my gas tank and put a dent in it. I Like this. You guys are Tall, hard on back. When that happened they had hose clamps on the filter then hose and they went to a Hyd. fitting. When I got mine from Home Depot the guy that put it together put two of the Hyd. hoses onto the wrong place. I could have been hurt. I called Champion and there service dept. is great. They helped me out. Great Video.

This is the 2nd FULL year I have mine, I love it, except the log catchers are too small, & if you leave it outside & it rains even once, it fills air filter, carb, cylinder with water, besides that, no complaints, it’s a tank

Haven't had issues with rain yet, we usually throw a tarp over it, but I'll definitely make sure it's on when it rains. Thanks for the input 👍
