How does Bernhard Langer's body hold up at his age practicing 10 to 11 hours a day

Excuse me, but I would like to see some documentation (ie peer-reviewed scientific papers) on the loss of spine angle bend at the age of 65. That's just not fair because 65 is also the age for loss of erectile function. I can live with one but I can't live with being shorter off the tee!

Isn't that called staying behind the ball???

Tom Lehman won maybe 5 PGA events during his career and he's the #1 ball striker on the Champions Tour? I don't think Lehman or Langer are physically gifted players, never were.

He also got to the world #1 ranking in the mid 90s as well as winning the Open in 96. Always been a consistent player.

Sorry, but the comment about losing lateral side bend at the age of 65 due in part to something happening to the "disc's" can't go unchallenged. Could you please site the scientific article that talks about this loss of motion or is it your own experience? Too many "golf experts" throw out comments that are simply untrue and have no basis in fact.

I think he's referring to a shallow angle of attack, which actually should be a function of width. Narrow = too steep an approach, and a player has to do something else to be able to hit up with driver. But I agree with your sentiment. If you're consciously having to "rearrange" positions from the top, you ain't swinging. The return swing should be mindless.
