I agree with your view point of if Sanskrit is learned other language fluency or learning becomes easy. My daughter learned Sanskrit in College in her undergrad course as a third language,now she has learned Japanese, German in addition to Hindi, Tamil, English.

I personally started listening to upanyasams from 25 or 27 years of age. My son started when he was 10 years. He is more educated than me. I feel, if someone inspires the next generation youngsters, age is not a constraint. The next generation should get more knowledge than the current generation for this sanatanam to flourish. We lost a few years when the globalisation started happening, where one or two generations lost our culture and tradition. It started changing in recent years and I see more young people learning and listening
