This is such a beautiful story and shows how magical a true Star Trek episode can be if written with the same love and skill as the franchise writers had long ago. A simple story told so elegantly. Wonderful acting, especially from the doctor who drew a tear from me at the end. It goes to show that Star Trek can be done brilliantly without a single phaser being fired. It's all about the characters, the story and getting the sincerity across to the audience. Thank you so much to everyone involved for a very warm and touching production.

That was a first for a fan film! Actors that can actually act! This is by far the best fan film I have watched, and I've watched quite a few. I felt as if I was watching actual trek. The acting was fluid and not awkward like other fan films. It left me wanting more. Very well done.

If the producers of Star Trek Discovery, and all the recent star trek films would watch this brilliant vignette, they would realize that that great Scifi storytelling does not cost millions to produce and does not have to be jam-packed with 90% CG and 10% message, but precisely the other way around. One nice thing about our story I think, is that hopefully whether you foresee the conclusion or not it is still enjoyable to watch as it unfolds. FPSD The sets put other 24th century trek fan productions to shame. im so used to seeing green screen CGI sets. How long did it take you to make you this? Was the shuttle a full scale model on the outside or a model? I loves the miranda class shuttlebay open. never seen that before. I really liked how you didn't use lots of technobabble to explain the time travel.

FPSD I will check it out. I produce an animated fan film and I'm stumped at continuing it atm. Are you aware of the new CBS guidelines for fan films? They set a limit of 15 mins for a single episode. Did you ignore the rules and go ahead anyway or did you publish it as you had started making it before the guidelines came into effect?. Its put an end to our series unless we ignore the rules which I don't wanna do after the Axanar lawsuit.

From the opening scene I could tell this wouldn't be the usual sort of ST fan film. Production value, cinematic capability were exceptional. I suspect when I look further into the filmmakers' next feature I'll see pro experience in film production. But I'm surprised the comments don't mention more the thing I think really stood out and that was the acting talent. I think successfully pulling off these kinds of emotional story lines can be particularly difficult, and the main actors did very well (including the supporting). I wasn't aware of the funding drive for their next feature but I'm glad to hear they got what they needed. (Just peeked at their website and see by amazing coincidence I've watched "Chance Encounter" the same day "The Holy Core" will be released.)

PLEASE put this in a playlist on your home page with the Holy Core so people can find both together easily. It's a great reward to find both. I am pushing these videos as hard as I can on as many Star Trek videos as I can bare watching. I simply write, "Real Star Trek is Star Trek Continues, The Orville, Chance Encounter and The Holy Core". Let's hope they take the bait and enjoy the meal as much as many of us have.

awesome job the acting was good in their uniforms were fantastic. think that they fit the actors really well. most of the time in fan films they clothing doesn't fit as good as it does in the real series.. heck I almost thought I was watching Star Trek in the 90s 👍
