I think this was really cool. This place is not for crowd pleasing, it's a place where the artists can do whatever is in their hearts, without feeling the pressure to always play this song or that song. I wish more artists would take that road. It's a brave and honest one.

I dunno i don't like donnie trumpet his stance on immigration rubs me the wrong way.
I met chance when I was his artist liaison in New Zealand's new year festival rhythm and vines.. I can vouch for how he's one of the most down to earth guys I've ever met! He asked me how old I was and what I was upto with life. I said "19 and still trying to find my bearings" he goes "oh wow thought you were older, but anyway guess what I was doing at 19? Just smoking joints everyday and going to church a bit on sundays. I am 23 years old now (24now) and look where I am, crazy right.. goes to show you can do anything man, no cliche" I will forever remember this chat.

Chance is a generational talent. Ignore his band, ignore his voice. Look at his words alone. Spoken in truth. He tells stories. The other side. His fork in the road. Beautiful. It’s so beautiful

I love how astute he is as a writer/performer he exudes a quiet calm confidence that drips of humility. His poetry, fluid, poignant and smooth unfolding with ease .... poetry fan here... wasn’t a big fan of Juke Jam before but this performance just turned it up for me... ‘When I go’ sounded beyond in this set!
