Currently the hostel fees for a 3 seater is 1.10k per year and academic fees would be 2 lakhs for 1 year . However, it's a huge campus which is its advantage and a disadvantage for the new joiners . You get completely lost running from pillars to pole searching to settle down . The kind of intake of admission seems not planned as the hostel arrangements for the new joiners are not planned . Many students plan to move out of hostel in the very first year because the temporary arrangements for the student becomes so lengthy and the staying is so frustrated that he/ she starts hating the purpose of arriving to the University. And obviously as a parent I don't feel good about this . Hostel stay is supposed to be the second home for the student and an environment which doesn't allow the student to study well and concentrate is just wasting time .

Currently a BE cse student at Chandigarh University I suggest to please don't join this university it was the worst decision of my life joining chandigarh university. The professors are not good and they are given no control and are controlled or you can say tortured by the higher faculty students are not allowed to headdown in the class even if they are not well they cannot use phone in the class if a student is caught using phone in the class by some outsider then the half day salary of the teacher teaching is deducted labs are very outdated hostel facilities are very poor none of the faculty is supporting they will make you roam here and there even for a very small task cse intake this year is over 7k+ even crowd is not here and it's half an hour away from Chandigarh there are no proper resources near the university it's like you are studying in the jungle in the reels they will show you their south campus but the actual campus where classes take place of cse is very degraded . They will arrange you with the fest or other activities but on the same time will not give you relaxation from the classes any function will be going on and you will be just attending the classes. I again tell you it will be worst decision of your life if you choose chandigarh university.

,I had got E grade in gp-2 , I had already completed the course and I had upload the screenshot of marks and course completion, I had talked to my mentor, HOD - MR- Gaurav bathla, examination controller Mr- Mahakdeep sir, deepanshu mam and many more teacher none of them helped me , I was totally harrased,deppresed by the university,university made me forcefully to reappear in exam and to loose my scholarship, after getting too much frustation , I m from lower middle class family I will not complete my graduation without schlorship, that is why I had drop out the college,but still I had E grade in my result because of this I can not take admission in other college now hod sir said that u r not eligible for reappear, please make me eligible for reappear as this subject is not a theory subject only like amoooc, worst university don't take admission there

Information for girls, you can't wear one piece and short dress, you will not be told anything till 1st semester, But as soon as the 2nd semester comes, these people start putting security, they do not allow entry inside the gate and for all students After 9:15 there is no entry inside the block unless you have missed the attendance of your 1 lecture this is their punishment / not allowed to go out before 12 o'clock ,You must always carry your ID card,

Everyone will tell you why to join CU, I'll tell you why not to join (specifically about CSE students) : 1. In 1st and 2nd sem the management will support you, but then no one cares 2. There are more than 6000 students only in CU in CSE batch this year, and they also run JPP so you've to sit among more than 10000+ students. 3. Dont go on the website stats, because if 1 student gets 5 offers then they will increase their number by 5. 4. Teaching quality is worst, they follow the old traditional way. If you are lcky then you might get some overwhelming teachers. But again that is rare. 5. Fee is very high and there are even more hiden fees that you'll have to pay in upcoming future. Like for TPP 10k, exam fees 2k per sem, etc. 6. They will not allow students to sit in any placement drives whi have not opted TPP. 7. If you got less than 70% marks in your 12th you'll be debarted from sitting in placement drives of almost all good companies. Two good things about CU: numerous companies visit(low to high) , beautiful campus. Its upto you now...!

There's no penalty regarding 75% , but that also doesn't mean you don't have to Maintain your attendance , you'll have to maintain your attendance at minimum 75%. And many companies are there that came to CU but it's all depend upon the students hard work for catching better placement offer. I'm also student at CU ;))

I graduated from Chandigarh University in 2020. It is one of the best university for placement(in CSE) and all round development purpose. I was part of elite batch Kargil based on AMCAT scores .Almost all the students got placed in my batch and highest package was 35-40LPA and average around 6 LPA. I myself got placed in 2 companies, was earning Rs 1lakh+/month.

I know students with 5-6 cgpa and backlogs getting placed so the placement record is correct. 3)"College Management is lil bit strict":Name a college where management is not strict. Coming to teachers, they are really friendly. 4)Adobe,Microsoft,amazon,cisco,hp,amdocs and more product based companies hire students from cu.

Because I heard that if you are strong in that area you can crack big placements from CU My internet in coding/ development is very high And I have been doing AOSP ( android open source ) and Linux kernel Development for 2 years already along with contributions for Xiaomi Sm6150 platform. And made IOT projects before 10th aswell.

Bhai meri mano to isme admission mat lo mai v le ke pachhta raha hu ,first semester me sari bat sunenge uske badh koi nahi sunta koi complain, Aap teacher ka complain nahi kar sakte karte v ho to koi dhayan nahi dega. mai 2019-2022 session me tha. Yaha ke koi teacher ache nahi h , wo sirf pdf padte h padhate v sahi se nahi h sikhana to dur ki bat h . Management bahut hi bekar h , koi panga hoga like fee paid nahi kar paya tume se ya koi aur problems ho koi call nahi uthayega na mail ka reply aayega . Placements yaha ki average 2 to 3 hogi jada se jada mai BCA ki bat kar raha and MCA. Kyoki isme bache ko shortlist karke name bnate h fir wohi apply karta h , not for all. Yaha h ka teacher se nafrat h , unko lgta h usne babu ka hi teacher h . Plz don't take admission, if you lean something then yaha nahi kahi aur 😔😔😏

Not everything that you mentioned are true.. Yes some of them are accurate related to security and strength ( in computer science is between 2-3k not more than that)... It is not in the main chandigarh city. But now there is flyover facility which takes only 25-30 mins to reach main chandigarh. And about the campus placement that is totally upto student. College's sole purpose is to bring good companies to campus and students's duty is to grab the opportunity.. There are many students who have taken many good packages from CU. but there are students who willl regularly bunk and not attend college. And at the end will be blaming university for not giving them placement.. So it is solely upon the student to grab the opportunity. 😊
