ISRO scientists deserve more than applause. They could easily migrate abroad and live cushy jobs in international companies earning 20 times as much, yet they chose to serve the country at 1100 USD a month in salary. This is the most astonishing fact for ISRO and for India. A country that just got its cities fully electrified 3 decades ago, is now on the moon with scientists being paid 20-25 times lesser than NASA, with talent equal if not better than that of those in Houston. India did something amazing. They sent a spacecraft to the moon and made it land near the bottom part of the moon. No one has ever done that before. This is very important for India and for everyone who lives on Earth because we can learn new things about the moon and space. India showed that they are very good at making and using machines that can go to space. They also showed that they were very curious and brave. They worked hard to make this happen. I want to say thank you and well done to ISRO and all the people who helped with this mission. You have made me and many others very happy and proud. You are awesome!

** Interesting Fact:** Scientists at ISRO were so confident about this landing, that ISRO chairmen stated "If everything fails, if all the sensors fail, nothing works, still it (Vikram Lander) will make a landing. That’s how it has been designed" Well Done ISRO! Another comment worth reading really.
